kal, 29 Sep 2009It may not really be in wet dreams as you have mentioned. Sony,Canon,Nikon,Olympus,Panasonic, ... moreSo how can you say that Samsung holds number 3 spot??
kal, 29 Sep 2009It may not really be in wet dreams as you have mentioned. Sony,Canon,Nikon,Olympus,Panasonic, ... moreA perusal of one top camera review site under their 5 star category, show 39 Canon cameras, 18 Sony cameras, 17 Nikon cameras, 6 Fuji cameras, 5 Olympus cameras, 5 Panasonic cameras, 3 Pentax cameras, and 1 Konica camera. A second camera review site under their top 103 cameras showed 46 Canon cameras, 21 Sony cameras, 20 Nikon cameras, 5 Pentax cameras, 3 Fuji cameras, 2 Samsung cameras, 2 Panasonic cameras, 2 Kodak cameras, 1 Konica camera, and 1 Casio camera. If you total all that up, the top 3 end up being Canon with 85, Sony a distant second with 39, and Nikon a very close third with 37. Everyone else had less than 10 top rated cameras...Where is SAMSUNG digicam HERE?
sony ericsson and nokia fans are not abe to digest this thats why they are trying hard to find shortcomming of samsung
one market in the duhok nokia 6130and 6150 and 6250 until now available
[deleted post]It may not really be in wet dreams as you have mentioned. Sony,Canon,Nikon,Olympus,Panasonic, they are the TOP manufacturers for sure. But in case you don't know in compact camera market share, Samsung holds world's no.3 spot ahead of Nikon, Olympus or Panasonic.
awful still images (k800i and various other phones do better), but the video - even full screen on my 13" laptop was outstanding. Almost as good as the Panasonic TZ7 digicam! (Mind you, so it should be, this phone probably costs 3 times as much as the Panasonic!)
Just wow .
Sammy is the best
What can we say? Samsung specs are actually not reliable and copy designs and features most of the time from other companies.Samsung is more on marketing gimmick and not on product durability and quality
I'm very sure that this cameraphone do not have 12MPX sensor, this is a 8MPX with extended resolution and I notice at samples photos have very high noise even at ISO 50. I think Nokia will prepare a mid range like camera cameraphone.

I guess the reason why nokia is still not keen in the megapixel race is that they just want to improve on their current cameras (take the 6700 classic for example - it has the best 5mp camera now).
Now i believe its true that the chinese/koreans always gets the first to enjoy when it comes to super gadgets. Wish i could travel there just to see this phone.
Samsung is way ahead of its competitors. This is their second 12 megapixel camera phone and their competitors have only gone up to 8 megapixel at the moment. Its only SE that seems to be closer what Samsung is offering with their 12 megapixel Idou. Nokia only has one 8 megapixel camera and its not good enough as it doesn't have the latest features like slo-mo video recording, etc. LG will probably be the next to announce their next 12-mega camera phone. Watch this space....

When I said "With added pixels the noise level didn't increase", I referred to pixon12's review, where they have compared 12mp samples to 8mp's and it was clear that adding more pixel is not "gimmick" like many people believed. We all know this is a pre-release sample and there will be improvement for sure.
And by the way, I have mentioned old 8mp(i.e. Innov8) because someone was saying that Samsung is not good with optics. Hope you understand.
Going back to Korea for the first time in 7 years - definately on my 'gadgets-to-get-list' - wonder if it will work on the New Zealand GSM network though...
Just note, this should be (though can't really remember) the 2nd of the AMOLED phone - the Korean variant of the S8000 was AMOLED 1st gen... Kinda curious why gsmarena has this phone on its archives now - Anycall has 2x dozen or so GSM / CDMA capable phones (some that don't have Western variants) in its portfolio, so why not put those up as well?
WOW, I love this phone! 12 megapixels, 720p @ 30fps, Xenon flash and 3x optical zoom! This is probably the next mobile for me. If Samsung can make a battery that will last (maybe 1500mAh or more) and better than average sunlight legibility then this phone will sell like hot cookies! I hope it won't be too thick though.
