Camera has stopped working since updating to Moto G 2013 to Lollipop 5.02. I have not found any other bugs - yet.
Anonymous, 11 Mar 2015Anyone know how to get moto g fully silent and not just vibrate without having no disturbance ... moreJust press the volume buttons, and a pop-up menu will appear, then select None
Installed on my Moto G 2013 on Tuesday night, took about 30 mins (download + install + reboot), and so far no problems. As mentioned, the Photo's app may appear twice in the App Drawer, but a quick google search found the solution (disable google+ App, reboot, update Google+). After a day of use the battery seems better than before, but could just be that I have been on wifi all that time.
Anyone know how to get moto g fully silent and not just vibrate without having no disturbance at all on?
is anyone facing memory leak issue ?
Anybody out there happy with this update? Does lollipop improve the quality of the camera which is the only reason why I would install it? 9 thanks in advance
AH HA ... Silent mode is now: Press down volume then press the bell symbol on the top left corner!
And WHERE has the old option for silent/vibrate gone when you press and hold the power button?
AWFUL ... ruddy phone ring tone is locked to god-awful "bing" sound, despite the fact it clearly says its has "GPO-Phone" as the selected ring tone ... arghhhhhh.
I really REALLY need a good clear ringtone as I'm on a Mountain Rescue Team and need to know when I've got people ringing me.
Busy installing it onto Moto-G here in UK right now ... will post back again shortly with the outcome!
Geordie, 11 Mar 2015I take it this doesn't include the 4G variation which mine is. Geez they are taking way too lo... moreGoogle no longer own Motorola. They sold it to Lenovo months ago.
I cannot download it onto my moto g - have tried twice and this time its been "downloading" for a couple of hours and still at 0%
What can I do?
Installed the update a few hours ago but can no longer make calls.
It also made voice commands the default for input on everything including text messages which was annoying but easily fixed.
I take it this doesn't include the 4G variation which mine is. Geez they are taking way too long to get the update out considering Google own Motorola you'd think it would be quick!
Guess people like me who have the LTE/4G version in the UK will have to wait even longer!
Anonymous, 11 Mar 2015got my update today too on Moto G 2013how do you find it ? loads of people unhappy about it so have not updated yet ..
got my update today too on Moto G 2013
Factory reset? Should be ok then...
Living in UK, 5.0.2 installed yesterday, looking good so far
Still haven't received it yet moto g 4g xt1039gbret :-(
If you receive the update DO NOT install it. So far I have found it to be very buggy. The email app no longer works, the phone dialer auto-launches upon screen unlock, some of the apps will be installed twice (photos for examples).
