1st gen moto g updated this morning. Took nearly half hour (88 apps). Updated OK but several apps suffering crashes/non responsive inc facebook app which won't let me share just shuts down. Occasional screwing up of parts of screen in a few different apps. Rebooted phone. No improvement. Tried clearing cache and force closing apps then reboot but hasn't helped.
The update arrived in France last weekend and since then did not recharge it....
There is no direct trivial way as of now to enter silent mode (we will be getting it back in version 5.1). One way to access silent mode is to press down the volume button and when phone vibrates tap on "none" option which appears on the screen.
Press the volume up/down key...
In the pop up that appears... Choose the 'NONE' tab and select 'Indefinitely'...That's it... You can also set it in silent mode for a particular duration also

Got the update last night. Around 15 minutes to install and so far I can't fault it.Incredible that Motorola are rolling out these updates on their older budget mobiles. Well worth the wait.
