To say Amoled has more accurate colors is not true? Obviously the results speak the truth.
And color accuracy is dependent on calibration.

And these world leading Amoled displays are best for mobiles only because we have to deal with the fact with that supposedly is because is much better and this is all there is to offer in mobiles??????
    Lmfao!!!!!!
Tell me.... What other display is dwarfing these Amoled ones across the board?

p-chan, 11 Mar 2015Lol, you're so ignorant. Amoled = true to color, crisper, brighter, less consume battery = bes... moreIt is not true. OLED has better power efficiency only for content that has an Average Picture Level of 65% or lower (i.e. video, pictures, gaming) but is less efficient above 65% APL, where whites dominate (Web Browsing, Navigation, Whatsapp, most other apps).

So it really depends. Gamers and film addicts will have better display Efficient on AMOLED, while people who do Web Browsing and a lot of whatsapp will have better battery life with an LCD (all other parameters remaining equal).

I have the galaxy 5 and love it. I will not buy the galaxy 6 because i want to be able to use my microchip on my tab. I also want to be able to replace my battery. I dont care if my galaxy 5 is made with plastic back. Jgold

p-chan, 11 Mar 2015Lol, you're so ignorant. Amoled = true to color, crisper, brighter, less consume battery = bes... moreWrong. I love AMOLED displays to core but saying AMOLED displays are true to colour and IPS are not is simply not true. There are a lot of premium and high quality IPS panels out there (mainly from manufacturers like NEC and Eizo etc.) and they are exceptional, I mean they are even better than AMOLED panels in my opinion. But its irrelevant as they don't make mobile displays, so we will have to make do with what we have and in that regards Samsung is MILES ahead than any other.

And comparing a LG made display is just humorous, LG is an average display maker, as I have said multiple times already, I have a Dell U2412M which is a Dell monitor with LG's panel, and this IPS monitor is plainly garbage, I had no idea that IPS panels could be this much over saturated.

LG is brand, be it for mobile phones or displays or anything basically which are meant for people who can NOT afford high end products, some can't afford because of money, and some can but can't because of their brains, however you want to put it.

End of discussion. Stop comparing Apples and Oranges.

The most significant stat in these tests I think is the measure of display power efficiency. In a comparison , at 50% brightness levels the Galaxy s5 consumes 0.82 watts , the note4 0.85 watts and the galaxy s6 0.65 watts. Given that in present high resolution display smartphones the display is the prominent power hungry component and that the battery size of the s6 is limited, this is good news.
People often bash Samsung and their oled displays for oversaturation. This however can no longer be said. A measurement of colour accuracy by absolute color error for galaxy s6 gives a figure of 1.6 .

I still prefer the note 4..... for the bigger display, expandable SD card slot, removable battery and the S spen + the note 4 would get some of the software updates of the S6 later :) but the S 6 is simply gorgeous
