Just had it confirmed by Motorola. You will get Lollipop whether you want it or not. If you don't say no to the nag message then it will time out and install Lollipop anyway. There is no choice with Google/Motorola.
Anonymous, 16 Mar 2015Funny because in Europe nobody has Lollipop ona Motorola G 2014 model yet !Motorola pestered my daughter to update her moto G but she tried to avoid it seeing what a mess Lollipop made of a Nexus 7. On Sunday morning she turned off her alarm and the phone was bricked - just continuous reboots. Motorola say that upgrade is inevitable (shades of the cybermen in Doctor Who) and will eventually take place when there is enough free space on your phone!! My guess is the update occured even though she did not ask for it, then failed. Enjoy 4.4.4 while you can for tomorrow your phone may die...
I am also eagery waiting for India specific update for Moto X - 1st Gen
Guys you should wait at least 3month since am waiting for my moto e where soak testing started on Jan last
Chhotu, 16 Mar 2015Are Indian users getting the soak test invitees?? No bro
Welcome news... It would be definitely worth the wait if it's a bug free version(which will be definitely revealed soon) !
Anyways still waiting for 5.1 :D
Yogesh, 16 Mar 2015when Mote e will getMOTO E runs great on 4.4.4 don't wait for 5.0.2 this update makes moto e very slow.....you will regret updating your phone.
blaze, 16 Mar 20155.0.2 drains the moto g (first gen) battery. best staying on 4.4.4 for nowOnly idiots on badly configured metals networks are getting that.
Me and quite a few friends of mine are getting much better battery life with over 6h screen-on time and around 48hrs total, which is better than 4.4.4
