may be it is a cooling system for the device. just a random guess. but i think it looks better than the previous Xperias. it looks compact to me.

Looks good, BTW is it only me, or have they reduced the bezels on top and bottom of the screen from Z3, I hope there is a camera improvement as well, perhaps the new exmor sensor will be on-board.

Come on So... moreOmnibalance is the most elegant and distinctive design language on the market. And let's be clear: the S6 does NOT look good. The Edge version does, but the plain S6 is hideous, just like all other Samsung phones. The glass is like lipstick on a pig.

Please Sony, 17 Mar 2015please sony stay away from on screen keys.. most of my friends esp here i d philippines this i... moreI wouldn't even consider getting a phone with hardware/capacitive navigation keys. Immersive mode + mods such as PIE controls render them redundant.

The opening next to the USB port at the bottom is for the speaker. I have an SP and the opening for the speaker on the back looks to be pretty much the same size

I'm pretty much having a hard time distinguishing the differences in terms of design between the Z4 and it's predecessor. Sure, I can spot Z-Z3, but backwards, I just can seem to notice, maybe there are minor and subtle ones.
