2.5 years ago you could have such res for even cheaper (nook hd+). Nowadays you can have it for half that price (chinese tablets). So yeah, this tablet is not even close to being cheap compared to modern standards ...

Why do companies keep coming up with Android tablets? They're not worth their money.
The only good tablets are iPads (for doing simple stuff) and Windows 8.1 tablets (for doing everything).

Android tablets have no real purpose.

Firstly it's MediaTek MT8127 SoC, not 8217.

Secondly, it is twice as slow as the very aged SnapDragon 800. It's unbelievable that in 2015 new devices get released with such outdated and slow SoCs (for a performance review head to notebookcheck).
