I got the updated in Mumbai but It's not downloading. Says insufficient storage. However, I've enough Internal Storage i.e. 1.2 GB. RAM is also free for around 500 MB. The update is of around 410 Mb. How to get this sorted without getting to factory reset?

all you have to reset your phone from setting that is back up and reset.
then your phone will boot to factory default. as you have purchased, now register with Google account and go to setting scroll down to about phone and press system check that will show a dialouge box that the phone will update to android 5.1 and there is a download button in the right bottom, press and the blue line will start to fill in

I got the update Message. But it's Saying Insufficient space to download. I tried clearing internal memory up to 800 mb. But it keeps saying that. Please help me I want to Have Lollipop.Plz Help

guys , go to google services framework and clear the data first , after that force stop the app and go to system updates and check for updates , u will get it . 100 %

hi friends I updated my Micromax canvas A1 with lollipop 5.1 yesterday from recovery mode.

Click this link and download this file.
Then Switch off your Phone.
1. Hold power button And volume Up button together.
2. You will see a menu. by using volume up button go to recovery option and select it by pressing volume down key.
3. now hold all the three buttons when a red Android lying down appears.
4. You will get another menu. Select Install Update from SD card. Search For The file in your SD card. and click install.
The installation process will be done in 3 mins or less. Then click reboot system now. Enjoy.
I updated two android one devices with this process.
It doesn't needs rooting or anything else because it is a true 5.1 ROM for a1 only.
