As for an ordinary people like me, I dont even care about the sound quality as long as it plays my songs. So what's boomsound speakers are for again? Music maniac? average person?

There's average persons from townships and villages who hinges on the quality of the sound. Lets put our differences aside and smoke this out , which phone that gives a best quality sound other than m8? I'm talking about listening to music or radio without putting on headset. Nonetheless, HTC for life no matter what

G2 is only slightly wider but also slimmer. In total they're of almost equivalent size all the while G2 is 5.2 inches while htc one is 4.7 ... Only HTC fans can be happy with such poorly designed devices.

It's still a 5 inch screen because of the on-screen buttons. The plus isnt realy a plus. Htc e8 and Htc butterfly 2 are more of a plus and they both came out last year.

I mean for external gaming and earphones sound quality the Sound matters.
I don't play music on my phone's speakers, I have a Bluetooth sound system for that at home.

HTC had a big wake up call a few years ago where they were nearly put out of business - If it wasn't for the M7, they probably wouldn't exist today. I really dont think they are doing themselves any favors with the M9. Unless this is a tatic to make a really big phone, then next year make one super slim and bezel free to boost sales and win awards. Lets hope.

Just buy a good pair of Bluetooth earbuds. They sound better than Boomsound, and they won't make you look like an idiot if you use them in public.

I practically have always in-ears in my pocket (when I travel) as they require so little bit of space, so it's the same to carry those around for music listening.

HTC is the only phone maker that actually cares about sound quality.
