I think world m... morei think it has something to do with economics as well, in asia almost everyone have cell phones - because its easily available and unlocked - and because there are so many competing wireless carries the cost remains reasonable to everyone, and having 2 sims is an added bonus! it is so easy to just replace your sim with another, if there is promo going on from another carrier, but in america all phones are locked into a carrier and because of that prices are not very competitive,,, this is my opinion - i may not accurate

I dont think what you mentioned is cause is, for my opinion is taxes...

I don't mean web surfing specifically, what I mean is Online gaming, downloads, social media, movies, ETC. It's up to you if you use up 1GB before 1week ends. You can renew anytime anyway.

I think world m... moreI Believe because on the specific regions you've mentioned (America and Asia) are where good networks located and where dual-sim phones are well used. Here in the Philippines we normally use GSM phones and we prefer duos versions because 1 sim slot we use it for messaging and calling while the other slot is being used for data-sims. You can have web surfing for 1GB of data and that's good for 1week and you just pay 70Php merely $1.5 . That's why duos versions are more likely to be purchased by users around the regions you've mentioned.
