Hi, my phone Samsung Android 4.3... Had it for about 1.5 year. About 4 months ago an update happened and now every time I restart it a black screen with white letters appears and I haven't pressed the "install" button, instead I press "cancel" or the back button on corner of phone.
It must have downloaded when I was in a wifi zone for a long enough time because this was a whopping 364 Mbs.
What made me initially hesitate (besides the eerie black screen) was the first sentence: "...acknowledge that some apps installed in KNOX container may not open properly & your user data specific to such apps other than the data accessible thru the My files app in the container, may potentially experience data loss."
I mean, there's something wrong with a lot of what's stated above, potentially an awful lot of dysfunction...
but wait, there's more:
"Caution - During installation, you cannot use the device for anything, not even emergency calls. Icons on home screen & settings might revert back to defaults & need to be reconfigured after installation.
Back up important data before installation. If this installation fails (!!!) you can easily update via Samsung Kies."
...."Easily".... yeah, sure... this kind of operation being "easy" is a fantastic myth, being that I've never had an easy time doing this kind of thing, downloading and installing and finding the right files and registries... The biggest reason why I haven't finished installing this update is because of the warning near the end where it tells you to back up important data before starting the process; I never had consistent internet and nowhere is there wifi where I usually go and if I did happen upon a wifi hotspot, it was never for long enough time to accomplish the kind of uploading I need to do, all my photos, my MouseHunt Game app, contacts... etc etc...
I finally got a wifi signal where I don't have to leave my room and I can finally turn a serious eye towards all this technological marvel and work on this kind of thing.
So now, I am writing here, the first of these kinds of tech forums I am visiting.
This KNOX had me baffled for months, wondering if it was an elaborate malware.
According to almost everyone here who experienced this so-called "update", it might as well have been a malware, the way it screwed with everyone's data and apps.
So, thank you for reading my piece, and thank you for writing your pieces so that I got a better idea of what's up with that piece of corruptible crap. I am definitively NOT installing KNOX 2.0, my phone works just fine the way it is. You know the saying, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"

my s4 kit kat was fine working.
then I updated it to lollipop and everything changed
my half of app stop .and it says .
unfortunately xyz app has stop..
plzzz hepppp

My s4 have knox v.2 but getting into the app after completion of everything if I give set up it shows "failed to create try again "and I have true mny times cannot fix it can any one help me..??

Can anyone please suggest the knox v2 compatability with s4. When I upgraded from kitkat to lollipop i faced many issues. So please suggest whther phone should be upgraded to knox v2 or not? Thanks

If your S4 is not getting update of 5.0.1 so you need to install is manually , get the stock file from google.

I got a new update yesterday. Now i am having build no XXUHOD3, dated April 17. Yet to figure out any new features. But keyboard seems to be smoother during this short period, no more disapprearances. Anyone else got that?
