I wish this phone uses the MEDIATEK soc or at least a variant of tgis phone has MEDIATEK soc for people to have freedom to choose between Qualcomm and MEDIATEK, personally i prefer tge octacore chips of MEDIATEK since their first release in contrast with the S800, coz a friend of mine owns a handset with a MT6592 Soc, and overall performance was great, sure my S4 beats his phone to dust when it comes to gaming, but when watching videos is where my friends phone shines, i was really jealous that his phone is priced half of my s4, can play 60fps without distortion from a 23fps video, the feeling is really different, its like watching through a very premium television, even though the S4 has a super amoled display, vs my friends lcd display... Urggg, i cant wait for htc to release the E9, wit MT soc variant at least...

I love HTC but i am TIRED of them not listening totally to constructive criticisms or inputs from their loyal following. Yes they've made some adjustments but they keep hanging on to or ommiting a few crucial designs that need to be adjusted asap...huge bezels have to minimized and huge batteries have to be adopted

Seems like this is the device to buy from HTC this year. EDIT: Or not, it has a Mediatek chip... Let's take it back.

E9...where the "E" stands for excess, as in an excess of bezel.

I can understand that HTC's original One series designer left, but still, even I can see this is wrong.

More or big black bar = HTC mid ranger.
Less or small black bar = HTC flagship.
May be after 2 years, HTC will innovate a phone without THE BLACK BAR :P

I don't really get the point of the E9 and the M9+ together. They seem very similar.

Well that's ugly. Camera len size and placement is atrocious. Did they change up the design team since the M7? What's going on.
