I have a Galaxy S6 Active. Yeah the whole waterproof thing is a total scam/joke. It fell in water at the bottom of my raft while on the river, maybe 1 inch of water for less than 3 minutes and now it won't tunr on. When I plug it in to charge it the blue light comes on after like 10 min of being plugged om but thats it. It worked last night but the screen faded into a white screen then went totally black. It's in rice now.... I hope this works! Someone told me to put it in the freezer with paper towels but I'm not sure if that's not going to make it worse!

You have to heat up the back cover with hair dryer and slowly pry it off with guitar pick ... Remove any screws to access motherboard. And then you carefully wipe down every wire plug and chip (every piece of the motherboard that u can physically access wipe it down with alcohol swabs.) Then u can blow dry the inside and glue the back cover on again and your phone will work like new. This last resort method always works because it allows you to clean off all of the corrosion and water damage that happened inside. Good luck

My s6 got exposed to some water, I left it off for a day wth air blowing into it. When i turned it on everything was fine, the screen turned on, nothing was flickering but...... it only stood on for at least 10 seconds. I really want all my pictures and videos from my phone but its hard to back up the pictures on google when it only stays on for a few seconds. Is there anyway I can recover the picture while the phone is off and connected to my laptop via USB ?

Any ideas would be super helpful, please thanks

I dropped my s6 in the toilet and picked it up as quickly as possible. Keep the phone off for about 6-8 hours and have it in the sun for a while a couple of times. Everything works great for my phone.

Crusty the clam, 08 Jul 2016I dropped my s6 into a puddle of ocean water while I was recording a video of Crusty the clam ... moreThough nothing happened, but blowing air was not a good option as water goes deeper inside by doing so. Using vacuum is a better option.

I just droped my galaxy s6 in the tub and grabbed it in a split second! After it looked like there was no damage but then the screen turned black and the galaxy logo kept popping up on the screen, while flickering!!! I've looked online and only found that rice is the key to fixing it ,but if that fails plz give me some suggestions!

What happens when the screen flickers and turns a greenish color? My s6 edge was exposed to water several days ago. It's functional and it works but the screen flickers and turns green. Is there any way I can save the phone or is this a death sentence for the phone and I have to replace it? Did/does anyone else have this problem? I've been looking all over the internet, not finding a thing on this green screen.

I dropped my s6 into a puddle of ocean water while I was recording a video of Crusty the clam in his shell burying himself back in the sand. I pulled it out right away and figured it was ok but it wouldn't charge at first. I put it in front of a fan all night with air blowing on the little earphone hole and charge dock and this morning seems fine. I hope it's ok and dried up inside. Thank you for your posts.
