Elisa , 01 May 2016I'm thinking if samsung s6 edge can survive in water. I'm also planning to buy . I used it in the rain day and it turned off so I don't believe it to be water proof
I dropped my samsung 6 edge down the toilet last Friday, I tried to turn off but it wouldn't, it went half screen then died. I was devastated so I came straight home googled it & got this site, so I put it in a sock & swung it for a minute or two, then I put it in rice with balls out off a damp trap, I did this for 8 days changing it every day sometimes twice, then my silica balls I ordered turned up, I even got silica balls that turn colour when wet, so I put them in & the next day the colour changing ones had not changed, so I charged it then switched it on now it is working a 100%. As you would expect I am over the moon. :)

I was taking a shower and of course i love listening to music on my phone (kanye west the life of pablo album) and my phone had a protector on it I was probably in the shower for about idk 10-15 minutes (lmao don't judge) and I think I don't know but I belive water went into the speaker or something (because the volume of the music went soo low and it was on full volume) I then took my phone out and tryed to get the water out the power button wasnt working and the buttons of the side of the home screen didnt light up anymore it was weird, but the home button for some reason worked, once 1 minute passed of that terror it started to turn off and on by itself like it was restarting or something but once it got to the yellow sprint intro it would turn off again and so on and so forth, untill it finally died... can anybody help? I tryed to charge it but it only got up to 1% then died... please help ;-; (Galaxy s6)

I took it straight out(2seconds max). It had a protective case which I removed and dried the whole phone. I then put it in a bag full of rice and left it overnight. Have tried to turn it on and screen is flashing green, I can't turn it off. It's back in the bag now with silica gel and rice, ill try again tomorrow. Was always a big fan of Samsung but the fact the s6 is sealed is absolute crap!!
I accidentally dropped my phone in the toilet. Grabbed it out immediately and tried to switch it off, but it won't. Switch off button is not working already. After a few minutes, the phone automatically switched off. I bought a resealable pouch of silica gel and put it there. After 2 hours, my phone automatically switched on. Home button is working but the power button is still not working and the touch screen. I let it stay overnight in the resealable pouch. When I woke up, touch screen is working but the color of the screen changed. Tried to switch it off many times but power button is still not working. After a few minutes, I can switch off my phone.. Will go to Samsung later to have it checked. Silica gels are the best.....
