I was taking a shower and of course i love listening to music on my phone (kanye west the life of pablo album) and my phone had a protector on it I was probably in the shower for about idk 10-15 minutes (lmao don't judge) and I think I don't know but I belive water went into the speaker or something (because the volume of the music went soo low and it was on full volume) I then took my phone out and tryed to get the water out the power button wasnt working and the buttons of the side of the home screen didnt light up anymore it was weird, but the home button for some reason worked, once 1 minute passed of that terror it started to turn off and on by itself like it was restarting or something but once it got to the yellow sprint intro it would turn off again and so on and so forth, untill it finally died... can anybody help? I tryed to charge it but it only got up to 1% then died... please help ;-; (Galaxy s6)

I took it straight out(2seconds max). It had a protective case which I removed and dried the whole phone. I then put it in a bag full of rice and left it overnight. Have tried to turn it on and screen is flashing green, I can't turn it off. It's back in the bag now with silica gel and rice, ill try again tomorrow. Was always a big fan of Samsung but the fact the s6 is sealed is absolute crap!!
I accidentally dropped my phone in the toilet. Grabbed it out immediately and tried to switch it off, but it won't. Switch off button is not working already. After a few minutes, the phone automatically switched off. I bought a resealable pouch of silica gel and put it there. After 2 hours, my phone automatically switched on. Home button is working but the power button is still not working and the touch screen. I let it stay overnight in the resealable pouch. When I woke up, touch screen is working but the color of the screen changed. Tried to switch it off many times but power button is still not working. After a few minutes, I can switch off my phone.. Will go to Samsung later to have it checked. Silica gels are the best.....
lybee, 31 Oct 2015I dropped my s6 galaxy in a bubble bath for at least 20-30 secs last night.. it switched itsel... moreHi. I just dropped mine in a bubble bath as well. Did your phone continue working or did it conk out? Where did you hear about the refrigerator idea?
pdiddy, 12 Oct 2015i dropped my s6 edge in the tub and it didnt come on, the next morning after leaving it in ric... moreI dropped my Samsung Galaxy S6 in the tub this morning for about 3-5 seconds. When I fished it out, the screen kept flickering and the camera light was flashing. I turned it off immediately and shook it for about 30 seconds to get water out. I stuck it in a sock with the speaker side away from me, grabbed the sock and spun it around for about 30 seconds (WAY more water came out than shaking it alone!). I tried turning it on and it kept making crazy sounds so I turned it off and left it in front of the heater. My husband said it turned on a few hours later--everything worked great except the back button. I shut it off again and am testing it in a bag of rice. Don't know for sure the result, but HIGHLY suggest the sock method for ridding the water,
I dropped my Samsung Galaxy s6 edge in the toilet a month ago. I grabbed it out immediately and switched it off. Waited till night, tried turning it on, it did turn on but died straight after. Tried charging it also and wouldn't keep a charge at all. I thought the phone was done for.
I placed the phone in a zip lock bag with about 6 silica gel bags and filled with rice, then placed that bag in a bucket and filled with rice. Left it for over a week and a half.
Took it out after the week and a half, charged it up, and switched it on. It works! Everything seemed normal besides slight lag time.
I have accidentally dropped handful water on my s6 edge. Now it's not working at all. I have dried it up for 2 days already but it's still not turning on. What should I do? I have seen videos trying to prove that s6 edge can survive nearly 20 mins under the water but now I came to know that it's all bullshit.........just a marketing video....
Umm, how can I fix my galaxy 6 edge phone, it well in the toilet by my mom and she left it there over 5 mins or less. 😋😒😒😒👎 I tried blow drying it and left it there for 24 hours and now I'm leaving it there for 48 hours.
I dropped by Samsung Edge in the toilet this morning for less than 10 seconds. It shut down and went into factory reset and now I can't get the Google email and password to work. AND of course I didn't get the protection because I have paid for it on all my phones and never used it. When I get home I will try the rice method.
Any other suggestions?
