When I fished it out, the screen kept flickering and the camera light was flashing. I turned it off immediately and shook it for about 30 seconds to get water out. I stuck it in a sock with the speaker side away from me, grabbed the sock and spun it around for about 30 seconds (WAY more water came out than shaking it alone!). I tried turning it on and it kept making crazy sounds so I turned it off and left it in front of the heater. My husband said it turned on a few hours later--everything worked great except the back button. I shut it off again and am testing it in a bag of rice. Don't know for sure the result, but HIGHLY suggest the sock method for ridding the water,
I dropped my Samsung Galaxy s6 edge in the toilet a month ago. I grabbed it out immediately and switched it off. Waited till night, tried turning it on, it did turn on but died straight after. Tried charging it also and wouldn't keep a charge at all. I thought the phone was done for.
I placed the phone in a zip lock bag with about 6 silica gel bags and filled with rice, then placed that bag in a bucket and filled with rice. Left it for over a week and a half.
Took it out after the week and a half, charged it up, and switched it on. It works! Everything seemed normal besides slight lag time.
I have accidentally dropped handful water on my s6 edge. Now it's not working at all. I have dried it up for 2 days already but it's still not turning on. What should I do? I have seen videos trying to prove that s6 edge can survive nearly 20 mins under the water but now I came to know that it's all bullshit.........just a marketing video....
Umm, how can I fix my galaxy 6 edge phone, it well in the toilet by my mom and she left it there over 5 mins or less. 😋😒😒😒👎 I tried blow drying it and left it there for 24 hours and now I'm leaving it there for 48 hours.
I dropped by Samsung Edge in the toilet this morning for less than 10 seconds. It shut down and went into factory reset and now I can't get the Google email and password to work. AND of course I didn't get the protection because I have paid for it on all my phones and never used it. When I get home I will try the rice method.
Any other suggestions?
i dropped my S6 in a pool for 1 second or less and it turned off and never came back on!!!!!!!!!!! took it to repair at the shopping centre and they said it cant be fixed by them because its already corroded inside (yes i put it in rice for 24 hours) next is sending it to samsung but that will be $600 or more id say..... fml

I accidentally left my phone on top of my laundry and then proceeded to do the laundry. By the time I had realized what had happened the phone was sitting in there for at least 5 to 10 minutes. I had the GPS running, and when i pulled it out of the water it was still running. I turned it off and placed it in a rice drum. When i got back to it later that night, probably 6 or 7 hours later it was working but the battery was over heating. And every time I charge it, it keeps of saying "Charging paused. Battery temperature too high." so what should i do now???
Bullshit, my jawn lasted 30 fuckin seconds, this shit be false af. No phone last 20min unless its designed to be water proof, which the galaxy S6 is not.
Anyone have any idea what to do....... Now it is in sunlight for last 3 hours I tried to switch it on but no positive sign. Is it dead now........ Can it be repaired

My phone has survived after if falling in the tub and the toliet. I immediately turned it off and removed the SIM card. I placed it in a bowl of raw rice for 2 days and when I turned it on it worked perfectly.
