Verizon rolls out Android Lollipop update for LG G2 Comments

Battery life has gone down significantly after update, home screen doesn't rotate, phone CAN"T BE PUT ON SILENT- only vibrate! Pretty disappointed in LG with this update. Verizon has NOTHING to do with it people!!! They just who the service goes through. LG is responsible for the update. Again, LG is responsible for the update- call them and complain!!!!!

Yes this update has completely made my phone unusable. Battery life in 3 hours. How do we fix it? Yes it is ugly and tough to see icons now, but the big issue is that many functions just turn on and drain the battery and I cannot seem to get them shut down.

Hate the new update. I hate the icons, the color schemes, task manager, and inability to change some of the new features. Have not had it long enough to attest to the crappy battery life..

Everything lags...I can't even open up an email anymore and many apps won't load. I have to restart my phone and then my gmail will work for 2 minutes and be stuck loading for an hour. This is the worst update ever. I can barely use my phone anymore. I'm ready to switch to the iPhone.

Lollipop has ruined the usefulness of my phone. Battery life cut in half. Unstable. Childish and ugly color scheme. Android is ruining their reputation with this update.

I agree with Drew. I thought the update was just for fixes and security. However, now my battery takes more than 4 hours to recharge versus the one hour it used to take. Aesthetics: I don't like the new color schemes: honey mustard dijon gold for the banners and buttons in messaging is not all appealing.
More features/complication not always necessary.

I figured it was simply to make the software more secure, not to reflect some moron's aesthetics! How about POLLING your customers about what they want before you garbage up our phones! I need to go back to a flip phone. This expensive crap is just that - crap!

This update is horrible! Predictive texting went to having the word THE predicted as Th, 11th or 18th. That's just ONE problem! I have not had battery problems, but now I cannot clear voicemail notifications on my screen as I could before. I hate the new appearance! Going to another carrier won't help. Android is Android! But it sucks! WORK on this, Google and Verizon! IMPROVE IT!

Battery life went from 36 hours of normal use to lasting only 3 to 4 hours and just checking email. If I do anything more on the phone the battery goes down even faster. The update ruined my G2. It is crap and avoid it at all costs. If your phone is over a year old they will tell you to deal with it yourself (in other words your screwed), otherwise you can probably get it replaced.

Don't get the update going to call Verizon to see what can be done my phone has yet to get a full charge and battery life has decreased by half and to top it off its not any faster also comprising my Wi-Fi/data😣

This update is terrible. None of my functions are the same, everything is more difficult to use, and the battery life sucks. Major fail. Undo this flub!

I just got the update for my LG g2. I hate it! I can't lock my quick notes, I can't edit my photos,the auto correct is totally out of control, and my keyboard no longer has the symbols at the top. Who knows what else I'll find. I want my kit Kat back! 😭😟

My battery life was really bad after the update also so I did a factory reset and that didn't help the first time. I did another one and it helped the second time. My battery life is back to normal if not a little better. When I reset it the 2nd time I did not reload all my apps just the ones I knew I use a lot just in case it was one of those apps that was causing the battery drain. I plan on adding them back on a few at a time and monitor my battery.

Lollipop update uses my wifi constantly, and if I turn it off it uses my 4G. For no apparent reason. I think this is what is killing my battery life.
LG fix this mess.
