I hope Samsung will bring lollipop to galaxy note 8.0 which was released after the galaxy II and share the same specs.

Why it took to long to get lollipop for samsung is because, there are issues from devices that packed earlier with kitkat to upgrade to lollipop. For example like I've heard from other resources that claims their phone upgrading to lollipop become easily heated, battery couldn't last long than before and some other issues (there are long list) and now people who upgrading their smartphone to lollipop are really regretted. (That what i've read) so there gonna be a reason for that :)

I feel bad for Alpha owners - you're absolutely justified to complain.
My gf's S5 just got the update in Canada.
I'm absolutely chuffed my old Note2 is getting it (eventually) :)

It takes the way too long for Samsung to update Galaxy Alpha. And it's really sad to see that customers who paid a lot of money for this device are not a priority for Samsung. Shame on you guys...

LG and if you make the update to Lollipop to LG Optimus G it wasn't better? Remember that the LG Optimus G has the same chipset that the Nexus 4 and with better funcionalities like, perhaps a better camera, 4G, 32GB of internal memory. This phone has better hardware, talking about the chipset, than the Galaxy Note 2, for this, the LG Optimus G deserve a better treatment and support. If the Galaxy Note 2 has the Lollipop update at his way, the Lg Optimus G it isn't inferior and deserves also the same treatment.

Absolutely disgusting that Samsung are handling updates to the Alpha this way. Whilst the phone was a commercial failure for the most part, those of us that paid the flagship price for the phone shouldn't have to wait until every other major device in the lineup has been updated before finally being scooped up with devices from 2 generations ago. I won't make the same mistake again.
