And in Z2 and especially Z3 the bezels got a lot smaller. And their headphone output is not the greatest, but the Z3 speakers put out overall higher quality cleaner sound than the M8 despite the water protecting membranes. And with almost the same volume.

Sony just relied on the power of their processors, camera, thickness reduction, waterproofing, huge bezels, aluminum frame, glass body, etc.... I think Z4 will come and follow the same with no remarkable innovation as compared to S6 Edge. Definitely Sony will fail again. Actually what Sony does is sometime what users hates. Big bezels (they translate the phone thickness to huge bezel), poor sound (too far from HTC techology but Sony is pioneer in audio technology) , whitish display (which Sony claims punchy display opposed to their new TV XTENDED Reality display), poor color reproduction (it maybe because of the white LED filter which reduces the BLACKS). One thing why Sony fails is that whenever they have new innovation, they have less ads and publicity opposed to what Samsung and Apple does. These giants spend too much in ads and publicity..... Another Sony's big mistake is that 6-month cycle technology which genetates more hatred to Sony users like myself.... The smell of newly bought phone Z2 is still in the unit but a new replacementent Z3 is in its way to the shelves... Too bad.... I supposed if they just spent more on new innovations and keep on 12-month production cycle then it would more challenging and profitable for Sony.

Sony shouldn't have problem with the s810 as they have kept the thickness the same but are allegedly using noticeably more efficient parts (screen, camera etc.)

Anonymous, 02 Apr 2015Say what you want, but Sony will never break into the US market if all they do is provide a ph... moreWell even I am a Sony fanboy and its good to see that you feel the same as me.According to me sony is highly ahead in the field of camera sensors,it has been giving its camera sensors to all the best camera phones(s6,iPhone 6)but camera sensor division dint upgrade the z3 with the new camera.I Hope Sony upgrades its camera sensors in the z4 or its loss will be greater than z3.Moreover the processor is also awesome but I have heard the rumors that the snapdragon 810 processor gets over heated.I hope these are not true and if true Sony will find some way out to overcome it
