What about battery drain which causes "mobile radio active" on almost all apps that have access to mobile data?
The biggest battery drain is chrome, google play services, gmail and mobile radio on those apps is active almost all the time.
Screen battery drain is at the bottom.
Does anyone has the same problem and is there a fix?

If you pay iphones price for android phone you get same update support like iphone does... In these times, most expensive phones (flagships) have support for aprox 2 years.. They get several big Android updates.. in my opinion.. two years of update support, there is nothing to complain about...

I'm pretty sure that will explain to you what the 5.X updates are aimed at (spoiler alert: not the memory leak bug).
Also, Google is not responsible for how OEMs update their devices. It's like blaming Microsoft about nVIDIA not releasing Windows 8 drivers for a GeForce 6200.
There is no way EVER to release a fully stable OS for anything. You make something, fix it as much as you can (or as far as bugs you discovered) - release it - get feedback from millions of users - release fixes based on the feedback.
Fix every bug at once? Sure, if you want to wait a year for a fix that you could've had in a month.

Charge your phone to full, use it like you normally do, then when you hit 5%, go in the battery stats and check the time the "Time on" on the Screen item in the list. That will show you how much your battery lasts. If we count overall, my old Galaxy S2 used to last 9 days with basic usage. The Nexus 5 gets an average of 3 hours with non-gaming and 2 hours with gaming.
In your case the credit should go to Sony for getting right combination of hardware. If Android is doing better, you could easily run your phone for 4 days or may be even more
Anonymous, 03 Apr 2015Mehhh, atleast iphone is fixing even the older model, look at android, 4.0, here comes 4.1, fi... moreWell at least Androud is open source. Do you know what this means? This means anyone can fix the memory leak issue, write a system patch, and that it will be compatible with any Android device. How sweet is that? If you are concerned about the fix accidentally mucking things up, modifying the system while in the RAM ensures that there is never a chance to break anything. And if a new even better fix comes out, deselect the old patch and it won't be loaded into the RAM, select the new one, and your good to go. Any phone that supports Xposed can do this. I had the memory leak fix for months. This way updates are a lot quicker. If a bug is noticed, next day or two a fix is out and can be applied from the built in patch store. I wish Xposed will get some official support from Google though ;)

Without the Stamina Mode my Z3 lasts for full 2 days without a problem and wife's Z3C get recharged every 4-5 days. This is with all the bells and whistles running and enabled. After activating Stamina Mode, my phone lasts for 3 days and wife has to plug her phone in once a week :) We don't play games and watch videos all day on our phones, but emails, Hangouts, WiFi hotspot are being used constantly every day. Also some Youtube watching, taking photos and listening music over BT in my car.
It's like using old Nokia with a large screen.

Why google releasing instable version of andriod. My moto G 1st gen after andriod update get too slow and atlast the mother board crashes. So please google you are such a well established company. So dont launch anything which is having memory leak or any of such problem.

Google has failed big time to understand the complexity of updating the android phones. If they release every now and then a new bug fix, it cannot be rolled out to all devices. If Google Thinks that only Nexus is there in the android world, they are going really wrong. On the other hand OEM's have very tough policy of releasing updates. So mostly we dont receive these minor hot fixes after any major release.
I have been hearing the memory leak bug since 5.0
5.0.1 was aimed at fixing the memory leak
5.0.2 was aimed at doing the same thing.
Samething with 5.1
Now 5.1.1.. What is going on. if they did not fix the bug they should not release an update.
Google has to do one of these..
1)Stringently test their android builds before release instead of aggressively releasing new version. More important than design is the functionality. Android is known to be drinking a lot of battery.. Despite of project volta.. it is still a dream for Battery optimization.
2) Work with OEMS to find better and easiest ways to release updates. They have to develop a framework for OEMS to integrate their UI and features without much effort
This way we can hope for minor bug fix updates from OEMs
xz, 03 Apr 2015google not fixing any bugSay what? are you ignorant?
Why androind is launching New Version of Operating systems With failures
like 4.4 5.0 5.1 now 5.1.1
what happened to Google?
google not fixing any bug
Angry Mobile Nerd, 03 Apr 2015Big whoop is Lollipop even on 3% of Android devices yet?As opposed to what? All WP that will eventually get an update?
Or iOS which became a memory hog making older phones lag and continuing their world lead in app crashing....On top of the the already botched updates they have always sent out that make people revert or buy the new iphone to fix it.
