allabtgadgets, 03 Apr 2015this is because Apple does not own a foundry they can design the chips but can not manufacture.Kind of an overstatement.
They only design their CPU cores, which are nothing but slightly modified custom Exynos architecture that Apple bought from Samsung when Apple bought Instrinsity.
All the other chips are designed by other companies.

This just shows to the Public that something was Happening Between these Two Companies,When Apple have made no Attempt to Stop the New Galaxy S6 from being Sold in Certain Countries,as we used to have Court cases nearly everytime Samsung released a New Model,as the Galaxy S6 uses nearly the Same Body as the iPhone 6

Low distance node fabrication is insanely more difficult than designing CPU cores, which is why there are only 4 companies in the world that can do low-distance node fabrication.
Even near bankrupt-companies can design CPU cores. Just look at SONY and AMD with the PS4 APU.
The brunt of CPU power and power efficiency come not from "design" but lower node processes, which allows you to add more transistors to the cores. More transistors = more power. Lower transistor distance = less power consumption.

Which you indirectly admitted apple can not do.
So on top of not having the factories for the production they don't have the know how or or company to make the progress. Which is why they need to crawl back to Samsung every time for more.
And I'd love to know how some being forced to crawl to Samsung for this and this meaning that Samsung makes profit off every idevice sold somehow makes Samsung a slave.
