The price is for 3G model and not for 4G. Microsoft is yet to launch the 4G LTE variant in India

Whats wrong with the price. You won't get 13mp carl Zeiss camera plus 5mp front camera at such a low price.
The 5.7inch display is also good.
Windows 8.1 does not hang like android and is smooth in operation.
You guys are talking about asus and micromax phones. Check out there after sales service and the quality of the product they sell.

People pls tell me the better alternative for 640 at 12000Rs and 640xl @ 15000Rs. I would like to go with it if anyone could suggest..
factors: service centres, balanced fully loaded features and no compromise with price and camera, OS doesn't matter as long as it runs lag free..

Microsoft is going to loose it's market again due to the price margin. For people who have been keeping a tab on these phones ,will definitely have to switch over to android. Not really a big deal for value of money when compared with android phones. The only hope you could buy this phone is for windows 10. Totally disappointed by the feedback from the journals.

3G Only phone at this price is disappointing. There are multiple good option in market for 3G only phone at much cheaper price.4G/LTE would have been a plus here at this price.Microsoft disappinted.. :(

I am fully agree with those disappointed fans, as I myself is really disappointed after they set the price at 15800 for outdated SD400 SoC. No doubt screen is big, clear in day light, camera is the best in this price point but what about overall performance. No doubt it can handle multitasking well but the concern is price point. I was too waiting for 640XL since it's in news but now m planning to wait for Asus Zenfone 2 but still love MS 640XL if the price drop to 10K.
I guess most of are disappointed coz of price only.

I don't understand why people are going mad over these price tags, you won't get such things in any device unless its a Chinese product. And these price tags are for LTE versions, most of you don't even have 4G in locality. So why are you so bothered about the price of 4G models. just wait for 3G models. They released LTE version before because they will make good profit out of devices in Metropolitan cities which have 4G services. Plus, don't compare it to MotoE or Micromax or Huawei or any other company that gives product for Cheap Rates, have a look at the difference between Microsoft and other companies, Microsoft has been well established since years.
