Though windows os is awesome but Considering pricing factor, definitely its killing itself. I was so eagerly waiting for this phone but now changed my mind for some 10k android phone. MS needs to understand that it is not Apple, so people are not going to pay extra money on lower specs devices, it needs to fix its roots firmly in market with low price devices then and then people will start buying it at extra money paid. Damn disappointment....

I wasted my time, really disappointed price, Microsoft won't get good market on these both models in India ..
I planned to buy this mobile and I have been searching for this mobile since 1 month.. Finally disappointed.. Now is changed to buy android mobile.. Bad luck Microsoft

All the buyer don't buy microsoft mobile in this price u will get better phone and good quality mobile. Earlier they were updated 9999 only but now they increased price and they earning more profit from Indian buyer's

rohangeek, 07 Apr 2015well as predict the price of lte model of xl will going to be 18000.....at this price asus zen... moreIts is a good phone in this range who want big screen it have nice camra feature with carl ziess lanse if we are talking abt configuration we don't need more ram and processor for window phone because it is a secure platform so don't. Weird abt it it is nice device

I was expecting Lumia 640XL at INR 15,000 now I will have to pay Rs. 800 more but I will still buy this Lumia 640 XL. I don't think the price is that high, after all the product is from Microsoft not from any cheap manufacturer unlike cheap chinese mobiles out there.
yesterday I got the news from http://windowsphonewiki.com so I am going to buy it... But Lumia 640 XL is not available on online store as of now.

L640 is going to disappoint indian market, wp os is not completely developed, many apps are under beta testing, "samsung galaxy grand 2" released 2years back with LTE available at 13k, "MOTOE(2ndgen)" with LTE and better processor will launch next month pricing 8k-9k. With all outdated hardware(scrap), surely i'm not going to buy this mobile for 12k. the mobiles mentioned above has same battery backup, with better camera quality.

Really Microsoft at last released 640 &640XL but no news about 640 XL LTE....and price so high at present time...from beginning I'm waiting from when it anounced but they broke all's heart like me who was expecting at low price..all things are good in these phones but ...what about pixel density?...258 is really low for 5/5.5inch screen and ram could be more for this big sreen....processor could be 1.4 to 1.7 ghz...but it low in these phones...in this price range there is so many Android phones market right now....Dear Microsoft I think you people will fail in this competitive android market...if u people decrease the prices of these phones.....
