Hurrah, it's a best turn towards a elite executive class set, than plastics esp previous models. LG shu'd advertise more to give tough time to Sammy.
Anonymous, 07 Apr 2015I hope it's leather! I can't stand all those plastics or even metal (Even though metal is real... moreLeather is a deal-killer for me and I expect for many others...
If you really want leather, get a leather case. The opposite doesn't work well.

I hope it's leather! I can't stand all those plastics or even metal (Even though metal is really nice). LEather would allow a great grip and you can set it down without making much noise or scratching it.
Everything so far sounds promising to shape up to a great phone. having the biggest battery of the current flagships would be a plus. Very curious to see how the 808 holds up. People that are stat hungry saying it's smaller than the 810...yes..you are correct. However the millionth of a second difference ...you can have it...as I would rather have battery that can go the distance. We have come to a point where the differences are fractions of a second. Take the time and blink. Real world performance is what's important....not numbers.
1.8 f value on a camera should help in low level lighting.
Being launched on my birthday....time to get myself a present!
Kissing my galaxy s3 and Samsung good bye.
Come on April 28th!!!

That's good news - will extend the device's longevity of all day usage.
Comments re 'improved viewing angles' on a slightly curved 5.5" screen just humor me. Maybe so if you're watching a movie 1cm from your eyeballs! Pfftt! ;)
Viewing angles on a convex screen are reduced from a distance on angles adjacent to the screen's curve - for anyone who cares about practical reality!
I wonder if they'll do a Note (i.e. with useful stylus implementation) version of this phone. Give the Samsung Note range a run for it's money.
S6 and M9 were disappointment. No big changes. I think LG G4 will be smartphone of year.Maybe Z4,P8 too.
Hope the leather is optional cause that looks fugly. High hopes for the G4
Anonymous, 07 Apr 2015Why do manufacturers mess around and just not announce thier new products, even if it's going ... morethis one is not curved as the one on g flex2.
have you seen the LG Magna? this would have the same of that screen just a bit curved.
curved has advantages it does have a better viewing angles too.
Why do manufacturers mess around and just not announce thier new products, even if it's going to be released later. Samsung etc will take customers away while they dither!
As for curved screen, I heard previous curved screens suffer from glare issues T certain angles to light (acts like a curved mirror)
Real or faux leather (I don't mind which)
does this imply the back will be removable? And if so acres to the battery and SD card etc?
If so & they keep the 5.5" screen in a small form factor - I believe they could be on to a winning formula :)
I don't think anyone will be convinced that the device is slightly curved is a necessary benefit. Praticality will make it less pocket friendly and rock on flat surfaces which trumps any ergonomic claims. Might make it less bendable in the opposite direction to the curve though!
(What were Samsung thinking eh!)
hope it wont disappoint like G3 does with worst camera and washout display and poor sunlight visibility...
WOW 16mp/f1.8 this will be one of the best camerphone, if not the best!
imagine the improvement from g3's 13mp/f2.3
plus the new 8mp front cam.
