You think that the Galaxy S6 Active it's inferior to the iPhone 6? You are totally wrong. First it has an octo-core cpu that eventhough not to be a custom cpu like Apple A8 it's much superior than the A8. Each A57 core it's almost so powerful than an A8 Cyclone core, and as it has 4 cores A57 instead of 2 as the Cyclone cpu more the 4 A53, it's much more powerful. After it has the protection of water proof. It has a battery with large and bigger capacity. It has a superior construction better than the iPhone 6. It has a display of great quality as in resistence to impacts as in quality of brightness, contrast, colour accurancy and temperature and resolution. Possibly this phone will have Micro SD slot. It's all the factors that make it superior than the Iphone 6 and deserving the high price comparable to the price of the iPhone 6 even more expensive because it's a superior product.

Truth is: An iPhone with a large screen will hurt samsung in myraid number of ways as the screen size is the only advantage samsung had before the iPhone 6/+. NOW a fingerprint scanner from htc with a killer design will hurt samsung harder as they dont have anything extra special anymore in the android side. Besides who would want an iPhone-wannabe in the same price or even higher but not the iPhone itself??

With the added protection and water protection and smae specs as the S6, plus possible 3,500mah and ad slot this phone would be a monster.
Even with the smaller battery the S6 outlasts the S5 everywhere except call time.
And the Gorilla Glass 4 on the S6 even Edge has been shown to be a drop test beast.

Samsung should release the S6 Active for all markets for those who doesn't like de S6 without IP67 certification and no microSD slot and yells that S5 is a better option.
I don't know why S5 Active wasn't worldwide, I had S4 Active and would buy the Active flavor of S5 but as it ain't came to Brazilian market a got the Moto X and now I'm with the Alpha. It would be bad give 6 months of exclusively to AT&T again. This time the differences between vanilla and Active aren't just aesthetic.
