I downloaded lollipop and didn't realize my whole phone would change. Downloaded kitkat 4.4.2 from sam mobile and got the old look back. Phone has a lot of weird thins now like it just turns on when ever it wants to, sometimes it wont charge,makes funny noises,camera wont auto focus any more so downloaded another camera app. Lollipop wrecked a good phone. I still like samsungs though so found an older s5 zoom or k zoom on sale with kitkat 4.4.2 and shut off auto downloads and play store auto downloads and phone is great. The old s4 is only good for back up phone now. The k zoom camera is just crazy with 10x mechanical zoom with 10x digital zoom. It's better than the new s7 amd iphone 6 i tested.

To get rid of lollipop you have to download Odin3 Downloader v3.09.exe then go to sammobile and find your exact right phone and carrier and download the firmware.You can find all the info on youtube. I did and have my kitkat 4.4.2 back and love the s4 again. lollipop looks like a little childs play phone

I've been saying for months i was going to have nothing to do with at&t any longer. Their cable is terrible and customer service rep actually told me that they own direct tv when i threatened to go with them. Told me not to remove channels when i asked for cheaper rates. Over $240 a month for cable and internet. Good advice get hulu and netflix pay for internet connection and be done with at&t. As for cell phones these updates are giving more and more information to these companies to see what you search for where you visit and so on. So they can supply you with ads, emails, phone calls from places that you frequent or things you buy frequently. Theres no more privacy we are tied to these phones for everything we do. They already have access to all your contacts, your camera, even your external memory card. Its ridiculous. I should be able to take a pic and not have some stranger looking through my phone whenever they please. Its just getting started. The privacy issue soon will be inside pur homes filming us through our friggin cable box or playstation. Anyways off subject basically screw at&t i wont give them another dime. Not for phone, cable, or internet..bye at&t samsung goes with 'em.... C-Ya. Hope nobody has stock in at&t theyre not gonna be doing well soon. Everybody i know has dropped them already. And yes one person leaving does make a difference. They dont even seem to care when you call and try to leave. Most places try to work something out to keep you. Not them theyre too good and monopolize the market to think they have us all cornered. Id rather do without any of these amenities then deal with a company like at&t. Thx for helping me to decide to finally do it and b3 done. You all should too.

LOLLIPOP UPDATE WORST MISTAKE EVER!
I held off on this for nearly a year, but finally fell victim to the hype. I used to love my 3yr old Galaxy S4. Have even passed on Verizon phone upgrade. Now, with the childish interface I am loathe to use in a business meeting!
Why would you sabotage the best device I've had since my BlackBerry Pearl?!
Updating just for the sake of updating is just plain stupid! Did you learn nothing from MS Vista?!!
I'm now looking for a new device, which certainly won't be a Samsung! And I'll be sure to tell everyone I know.
Such a shame...

Used to love Android as an alternative to Apple. Over last two years, upgrades have been questionable. Then came this total disaster. Everything from aesthetics to performance. Is someone trying to sabotage Android? If so, they're doing great. Time to go back to Apple.

After this update, my phone C R A W L S . . .
Email used to open in 2 seconds; now it's closer to 20. Maps is completely hosed- I can't get it to navigate the length of my street (1/4 mile), without it crashing the whole phone.
If I had wanted my phone bricked,I'd've done it myself.

my phone updated three days ago and since then, it vibrates all the time with no notifications, the battery drains in front of my eyes, and the fonts are sooo small I cant see them. The constant buzzing is driving me crazy. Anyone know how to fix this?

The mandatory Lollipop 5 downgrade to the Samsung Galaxy S4 is unquestionably one of the most hated software updates ever released by a major corporation. The candy-colored interface is not only childish and unsightly, its low-contrast fonts provoke eyestrain and are nearly illegible in dim lighting. What's even more aggravating are the increased power drain and degraded video playback performance, not to mention the frequent need to manually clear OS caches and restart the phone. Absolutely HATE new upgrade!!! Worse tHan previous & lost all my icons/apps I used daily. Lots of former info gone/missing. Shitty should have told us b4 we downloaded. Might buy another phone now.👎👎👎

October 2015. AT&T downloaded an Android 5.0 1 update to my galaxy s4. Almost 1gb of data. it totally ruined my phone shut down TouchWiz, I lost all my apps and personalized contact settings, everything and I don't like the light only screen. worst update ever. AT&T support cannot reverse.it turned a nice phone into a piece of crap

My Samsung s4 was a very good phone, but At&t's update ruined it. It's slow now, it freezes now, the battery that lasted all day won't last until noon anymore. I am fucking pissed. I wouldn't use that word but this is BS cuz they say there is nothing I can do. Bull ef'n shite. You suck AT&T bad
