Well, better late than never, I guess. I had expected this in early/mid February from what they were saying. Hopefully it's stable, though, maybe that's what took extra time.

yes you have to update 4.4.4 first f you are planning to update your phone to lollipop via ota update but if u don't want to update.4.4.4 u can skip it use PC companion...

I'm on 4.4.2 on my Z2. Didn't upgrade to 4.4.4 coz of all the bad reviews I read. The phone is unlocked, imported from The UK (D6503), but pc tells me that update for 4.4.4 is available. No lollipop yet. So do I need to update to 4.4.4 first to be eligible for lollipop?

Have been waiting for this update for a whole now. Using the Xperia Z Ultra C6802 and seeing as how the phablet has been on the market for over 18 months now, OS updates might be discontinued after this. So I wouldn't mind Lollipop while I find my next device. Hope it's the Z4 Ultra.
