I have many reasons that I will never like or defend apple. But they are legit reasons. I'm not a random hater and I will give it credit where I have learned that they factually deserve it.
The problem is not that it runs like crap. Because that's obviously not the case. It does work and run well.
The bigger issue is on many levels around the phone, os, and company.
It's more things like the "it just works" or "it's perfect" or "supremely optimized" or "specs don't matter".
When in reality it does tend to run a tiny bit smoother with a few less lags/hiccups. But it still has lags and hiccups. And it's not perfect or because it's "supremely optimized". It's because the it's a completely system wide restricted/locked down OS lacking most functions and features in order to create the illusion that it runs perfect.
And on top of that iOS 7/8 still have almost the same number of app crashes Android 2.3 Gingerbread had.
Which aids into the next part.
Supposedly because it's only for a few specific devices and made to supposedly by optimized specifically for those devices and it's so simple/locked down/feature less is supposed to make it super perfect and bug free. And so easy to make very fast perfect stable updates. And not need high specs.
But in reality the number of app crashes it still has is insane! And the monstrous bugs and performance hiccups it has just boggles the mind. And the security holes. They constantly have to release multiple bug patches.
And even though it's so smooth and you don't need specs iOS 7 slowed the 4 down a lot and now it's stuck like that.
Where iOS 8 has added more lag and bugs to 4s, 5, and some to the 5s.
Where as Kitkat got even more stable and light for low end devices.
And apple even claims how it's so well optimized and yada. But look at all the bug fixes they are sending out....But I thought it didn't need that? It was already perfect.
And then the specs claim. Oh well it only needs a dual core. Yeah...Because the OS does nothing. And that dual core is ARMv8 Cortex 57 cores that are larger than normal for increased single thread performance. And they always use a high end GPU.
Those are what? numbers and specs.
The camera is only 8MP, but use larger pixels and a high aperture. That's numbers and specs.
They use low ram, but use high clocked high number like DDR3 ram. Specs and numbers.
And the low ram is probably one of the reasons there are so many app crashes. Aside from buggy software. And the no specs delusion is why every update or so the old iPhones slow down and get buggier. Heck when the iOS update came out with the 5s, the 5 was the only one that got the full update. Even the 4s only got a partial. And the 5 had been out exactly a year at that point. And they immediately discontinued it even though it was generally more stable. Because they could make money of the 5c.
Which goes to two other points. Well iOS gets updates....yeah ones that are buggy, have a world lead in app crashes, and are only partial to slightly older models and slow them down.
Where as yes you have to wait more on Android and you might not get as many, but they updates do and change a heck of a lot more and have to make sure actual new technologies and features work.
And one update in Android is comparable to a whole life cycle of an iPhone.
Heck even pre iphone flip phones still can do some things an iPhone cant.
And then to the other. Price. People give the excuse oh well it works and we don't need specs. Or we don't need/want that feature....Then why are you paying for it? And the over priced is no exaggeration.
Last global quarter results show iOS had 11% global sales, while Android had about 80% global sales.
The horrific and sad part. iOS had about 80% global profits from the sales, where Android had about 11% of the total global profit....
There is no other explanation for such an out of this world flip flop in numbers. That's insane!
And yes there are many cheap Androids.....But they sell in MASSIVE quantities too.
And those figures include many many flagships.
Like the Galaxy of course. Which costs more in parts and more in the RnD of software and parts.
And the iphone sells for as much or more then the most advanced tech available. Just because it has an apple logo on it and they tell it's supremely optimized.
Just because restrictions and lack of extra hardwork and features makes a dual core and 1gb of ram work decently doesn't mean that the 1Gb of ram costs them any more. Just because decent software and larger pixels make an 8mp take decent photos doesn't mean it costs them any more or that they are not still using the same sensor over and over.
And the display? Just because they calibrate the color nicely does not mean it's any less a cheaper, smaller, lower resolution screen. Heck "Retina" ppi happened on Sony and Toshiba phones years before apple called it "retina".
And the battery? Yeah iOS has good stand by time, but it's usage time is crap cause the battery capacity from the 4,4s,5,5s only increased 100mah.
And then all the copy/stealing claims.
Well apple stole the names iphone, ios, and ipad from existing companies. The original iphone resembles the LG Prada released before it and the Samsung SGH-Z610 which came out the year before it.
The i6 looks like a Note 1 in the shape and rounded frame. Where the S6 looks like an S5 with new frame design. And Samsung had headphone jacks since at least the first Nexus up to at least two years before the iPhone 5.
And in the court battles apple actually photoshopped pictures changing the shape and size of the Galaxies and tabs to make them shaped like iphones and ipads. Just to claim how similar two rectangles looked.
In the Europe cases apple ended up being punished for the case and having to post on the site that Samsung didn't copy them and it was their mistake. Then they tried for it again and had to do it again.
And what was Jobs famous words? Good artists copy, great artists steal. And I've been shameless at stealing many great ideas over the years....
Then he turns around to all the people they he copies/steals/buys from and says they are stealing from iphone and that stealing is wrong. And then tries to sue the world like everything in existence is an apple copy.
And all the while all the fans ever do is claim how it's so perfect. Apple is the best most original everything. They invented everything. Everyone copies them. They supposedly started smart phones. And when you prove they actually copied something...Oh well they perfected it....iOS is so smooth. There is no lag. Android only lags. Blah blah.
Oh well we don't need those features. We don't want those features. Blah blah. It just works. Take my money. And when those features finally make their way....Well I never said that or it's perfected now.
Complete denial.
It's nothing but a scam. And lets not get into all the millions they scam from schools. apple/iphone/ios/ipad/mac/ipod. It's all a largely socially accepted scam and sign of conformity.
Apple is like a welfare wannabe version of umbrella corp.
But hey. Why would they change any of this if people not only accept it, but accept it with open loving arms and in complete denial defend them in every single way. And sites all over the internet and world say everything apple is the best. When it's clearly never been the truth.
And this is why they are called ishp.
