I agree, I am a big tech fane and I love Nokia Lumia and Windows Phone. But they are only bearley not boring. As Microsoft take over I hope we will continue to see the off screen buttons on the botum and wonderfull colores. I hate the black, white, champange alternatives. 930 in bright orange is a conversation starter and a juy to take out on the buss ore coffeeshop. I alsow hope we see a high spec mini windows phone. Has any one seen the concept photos of Lumia 330, that would bee somthing else. And pleas microsoft give us the option for an physical QWERTY phone. Somthing in the lines og Nokia E7 or E72. Or just give us somthing else then a thiner bigger-screened phone. I AM BORED with the unimaginativ designers of the phone and phablet (and tablet) manufacturers.

I don't know why Nokia and Microsoft have so much problem with features and delays when all they have to do is keep up with Apple and Android OEMs. Apple and Android are on a 1-year schedule but Windows is on a 18-24 month schedule and even then it is often missing features.

"Symbian based bar phones were the best..." yes! Its sad that someone choose Elop for Nokia CEO. I think he have one mission - he wanted to take over the mobile division for Microsoft. How else do you explain decisions taken Elop ? What you have to be crazy when u destroy Symbian and MeeGo (much better then WP at that time) but you dont have finished, good product (WP) that can compete with others on the market ?!
Other CEO would continue Symbian Belle - in his time was good enough, or could possibly replace it on Android, but with High-end components not with what after years showed Elop. Besides they should develop great MeeGo, Symbian + MeeGo or Android + MeeGo. Windows Phone ? Only like other companies...when Microsoft will give it for free and check how good will sell. If you put on market at the right time Nokia phones like L800, L520, L1020 with Android I'm sure they would obtain a great result. It's sad what happened to this company.

The featurephone era is already far more interesting than the current Smartphone market. Now, I can really dig Nokia/Microsoft's efforts at affordable smartphones, but an apparent similarity between Nokia/Microsoft, RIM/Blackberry, and Pantech and Samsung are that they made very capable feature phones running from Java ME to Symbian and BREW MP. Sure the Kin was a massive failure with an equally destructive execution -- still, today even a crippled phone from 2008 is a lot more interesting than tablet-phone hybrids from now.

Project ARA is going to breathe life back into Smartphone design. I hope Nokia gets into the project and offers Symbian based hardware modules.

what would be even greater to have a phone, is a device that has a waterproof resistance, smashing resistance, powered by a windows 10. along side with a antivirues built in along side with a detector, if the phone is lost,it can be shut off. also with a rear 20mp in the back and a 16mp in the front for selfies and better quality for imaging.

At least Nokia did release flagship worthy phones running WP, since Microsoft is making the phones now, we are all still waiting for a new flagship. Bear in mind that the Lumia 930 is already available for a longer time, and the Lumia 1020 is still waiting for it's successor. Microsoft should hurry up a bit. I know they are full with the new Windows 10 but they should not miss their momentum.

There used to be more variety, different shapes, sizes, colors and features, now most phones looks the same, it is hard to buy a smart flip phone, LG and samsung make them but only for Korean market, keyboards? becoming a rare feature and soon no one will make them ... sigh, i really loved mobile tech before iPhone, now it's boring.
