well i guess im gonna get the z3 then,only the processor has changed, and that phone will get a big price cut once the z4 arrives. (got to pay full price where i live)

But the display is too dull not brilliant as Sony (has the most brilliant display but it needs more). Physically, HTC M9 can elude people but if you take full hands-on before buying it, you will find the display greyish but the speaker is great apart from Sony has which is the PIONEER in audio technology, poor in mobile phone industry.

Sony despite having a beautiful and slim design packs the best and most efficient battery inside! other than that, Xperia series has the best build quality! My Xperia z has fallen from my hands numerous times but never broke! it even fell by its screen down, but still nothing happened to it at all! but haters would never understand!

Sony was again slapped by Samsung by their new nice looking and innovative S6 Edge. Where is Sony by the way? Struggling to come up with new Z4 architecture or simply kept silent as they are exhausted. But how come they are exhausted if they use again and again using their traditional thick (HUGE BEZEL) and boxy phone technology. Sony is actually blind and insensitive to numerous blogs against them. Ignoring them and just proceeded on their own ending with nothing but failures…. Look what Samsung and even the HTC is doing. They utilized the bezel for the navigational buttons and fingerprint scanner and rounding both the corners and the edges. These things created an optical illusion to the users or to the prospective buyers that these phones were thinner and minimalistic with respect to the others like Sony’s. The beauty of S6 Edge and HTC M9 creates an impression that these phones are packed with new innovations way apart from the others but maybe actually not…. This implies that the phone architecture must first be looked into opposed to what Sony is doing…. Just come up with reduced phone thickness, upgrade the processor, camera, pixel density and colour reproduction, etc….. bla bla bla…, then pack it with same boxy large bezel glass body then bring to the market. What is this? I do agree that Sony has a brilliant display, nice but little sound quality but these are not enough. Make your phone beautiful…. One more thing, are these Bravia TV technologies can’t be introduced to future Z series phones? Like the MAGNETIC FLUID SPEAKER SYSTEM (to amplify and enhance the minute/less bass/no subwoofer speaker sound of Xperia Z series) and the XTENDED HIGH DYNAMIC RANGE to have deeper blacks (not washed displays maybe because of the white LED filter), blues, greens and reds…. Do in Z4 and I’ll purchase one Z again.

sony keep the magnetic charger port .I had 5 charging ports destroyed for the past eight years ,that is the best way to charge safely with the x2 magnector adapter , just brilliant, ( a tip: market the phone with magnector x2 adapter which can charge with any case cover. you can remove the port even to the bottom panel).

Nothing new..... Sony is blind and insensitive. S6 Edge is again a milestone packed with new innovations. Where is Sony again? Coming up with their traditional box type big bezel bla bla bla.... Look what Samsung is doing. They used the bezel for the navigational buttons and fingerprint scanner and a little curved edges. This has created an optical illussion to people that Samsung and even HTC phones are more minimalistic and thinner than Z2 and Z3 but actually not... In short, Sony must first impress people by the architecture of their phones and secondly the capabilities inside anf out. Sony can always argue but the fact is they are falling behind their rivals simply bcoz they fail to impress people. To some maybe satisfactory but mostly they are not.... Although Sony displays are brilliant, nice but little sound and many more but the fact that their phones seemed to be boxy and bulky.... For phones of similar looks, for many it looks like no innovation at all even if u put the most powerful elements inside of it.

Not sure who is worse the Samsung fan club who plague this website and jump on every other Brand's phone for no reason other than its not made by Samsung or GSM Arena themselves who post reports such as the one above. The language used is quite deliberately negative. Not sure why they were so 'surprised' Sony have not radically redesigned the visual look of the Z4 given that its predecessor looks great and handles well too. Its bezels may be slightly bigger than other brands but then again its got a slightly bigger screen and its bezels cover the tech required to house and feed the Stereo speakers. So Sony could have smaller bezels but they would need to remove its speakers to do so and just have a mediocre mono speaker on the bottom of the device. I would thus challenge the author of the above to suggest design improvements on the Z4 that would not result in the removal of key features that were present in the Z3. Innovation is to be welcomed and design improvements can be justified if they improve the functionality of the device but not at the expense of other key features are omitted. The small design changes in the Z4, ie the removal of the flap covering the USB charging improve the functionality of the device. Removing the metallic charging port is more of a concern but not if they replace this feature with wireless charging. Given that Sony already has its own universal wireless charging pad it would make sense though for Sony to include built in wireless charging in the Z4.
