gsmarena's phone charger review says that the phone is "power-hungry", and the zenfone blog put out by ASUS has what looks like actual photos in auto and HRD mode - but they seem pretty small to be raw data, so maybe they were compressed already. if so, that compression looks not very great. This needs a proper review with full raw image files for review, plus checking any manual modes - despite the fact that the basic auto mode is what most will be using, so that is worth a lot of weight too.

Great great phones. Any idea the model ML551 with 32G would be available in Malaysia? Went to Asus Taiwan website, the two 4G ram models are out of stock.

I would have one such phone if I can get my iPhone 6 Plus (128) and Note 4 can be accommodated in one phone! I think this is a great money saver

Rs. 18,000 for the 4GB ram 32GB storage comes to about $290 U.S. That's a good price if it that's what it ends up selling for in the United States. Though the Amazon prices are way too much, close to $400. I'm more interested the the 2GB 720p variant. Hoping it comes in around $220 for the American market. I don't need a phone with 4Gb's or ram (nor does anyone else, but that's their business) and 720p is fine for a 5.5" screen despite what the "must have's" (must have the latest and highest specs or it's a fail, useless and horrible) try to make you believe.

I got the red ZF2 (550) in Hong Kong, not a bad phone, I like the grip on the side and back. No complaint on the quality.
Most people concern about the battery, it can run through the day no problem. I constantly texted and browsed from 8:30am - 4:30pm, I still get 20% left. Same battery usage as my other 3000mah phones.
I would give it 9 / 10. The missing 1 point is from the non-removable battery and home buttons do not glow in dark.

Logic simple ye boss... Xioami sells record level 2.2 millions smart phones just in 24 hours bec's of low prices. If asus also eyes on indian market, it is better to launch the mobiles at low prices like xioami. Otherwise it will not create any magic in india. If it is neglect india and china , the comapany name will be dissappear in few days.. Think asus and launch asap at low price... I am telling this bec's i love zenfones... Be careful asus also announcing a new smartphone on apr 23.. Bye bye

This is standard business practice. It is not their first phones - and even if it is their first time in these specific markets (something I don't actually know), they look like bumbling newcomers who went "oops! we forgot/didn't know about these steps/didn't check all we needed to do before announcing a release date. Twice."
This is not building confidence in the product...
