AnonD-142922, 17 Apr 2015Well guys what I think there is no such 808 ,BECAUSE we NEVER heard it B4 and never mentioned ... moreI have not heard of SD 808 either, thought i was good at tech but did not want to look dim so said nowt till you brought it up..
AnonD-215124, 17 Apr 2015G3 was a dud, 2/3 the battery life, 2/3 the contrast ratio, 3/2 the price. we all knew that g2 did better in the battery. but that's not the only important features we are looking for a smartphone.

LG CEO Cho said at a press meeting that the company would unveil the next flagship smartphone, G4, in the second quarter, and another high-end product in the second half.
Cho did not elaborate on details about the handset, but he referred to the device as a “higher-end product,” than the G4.
Cenas, 17 Apr 2015Then why pay more for the same thing? Where's the evolution? I don't get this!
If it's the sa... more"why pay more"?!?! because if you get a g2 then you are using older hardware and more and more technology is now using this new hardware.. also because if you get one it would be more 2nd hand than brand new (hard to find new boxed 2yr old phones) so the battery would be used and the components would not last as long as it would brand new.
plus it is more personal preference.
:)
Anonymous, 17 Apr 2015G3is way better than g2 in almost all areas and so g4 will do by far better.G3 was a dud, 2/3 the battery life, 2/3 the contrast ratio, 3/2 the price.

If it's the same, why not buy the G2 then??
"Oh, it's as good as a 2 years old phone! How super great, much idjits!"
I personally think this is a step in the right direction for the Android part of the smartphone market.
So far Android phones have been tricked out with (close-to)experimental hardware and not enough focus on user experience.
If downgrading the hardware will secure and deliver a more reliable user experience it is a well worth trade.
Cenas, 17 Apr 2015If it's no better that a 2 year product, what's the point? And watch your mouth, kid!G2 was the best phone ever made, almost no compromises. If it can get close to its battery life then equaling its performance is fine.

Poor LG
Its a big failure, feel sorry for them, they must introduce a phone with nothing new in it
Ayush01, 17 Apr 2015Looks like there will be two G4 models.
1)A Phablet with SD810 and stylus
2)A smartphone wit... more"No matter how beefier the specs becomes smartphones can't and won't surpass consoles" -: depends on the age of the console and whether the consoles continue to improve also if they do game on them they always to push the boundaries and they will expect mobile graphics or console graphics (maybe with a bump down) for games that have been ported from console i.e. gta san andreas
"neither can it surpass personal computers" -: and laptops that's because they are modular and can be exchanged with a varying number of components so a mid range phone could beat a pc from 6 years ago yet not a core i7 2790k with quad 980sli with 4 raid 520gb ssd's
"My HTC One with SD 801 performs on par with the new One M9 if not better.Whats the use of adding more power hungry cores then?" -: just because that phone you have dose the same in performance there are other areas that the newer phone performs better.
"Instead they should improve the battery,UI and the camera" -: yeah they should improve on battery technology although the technology has reached near it's peak for the type of batteries used, a UI is a UI to each other person one may look bad to another, and cameras are a material thing they can improve on them tons there are trade-offs for either using a poor camera and making the phone thin or using a higher end camera part making the phone like a brick or having a random bulge on the back of it.
also people prefer beefy specs on their phones because they do a lot of work on their phones and use them a lot leaving programs open and running.
I'm excited too for the Snapdragon 820, but unfortunately we will have to wait until 2016 before we see its release. Maybe in the Sony Z5 :)
everything is great amazing screen, desing,.... but I waited to release same model LG G4 but with Snapdragon 820, beacuse the snapdragon 810 overheating !!!!
Cenas, 17 Apr 2015This SoC would kick ass if only it had an Adreno 430. The way it is, it will stutter like hell... moreYou are aware the GPU in this will make it equal to G2 and other SD800 FHD phones? People really have no clue when they write, such a shame.
bad 810 ,lets hope 820 will be the best
AnonD-387070, 17 Apr 2015poor LG, lack of inovation... This years, LG is super Faill.. Snapdragon too..Pushing up CPU and GPU performance is hardly "innovation", although it may be necessary for keeping up with the others and looking good in the spec war. Qualcomm was caught by Apple's 64-bit hype and was forced to adopt the Cortex-A57 in order to keep up with the spec war. Their best SoC for high end smartphones is still the SD 805 and they planned on improving upon that with a better GPU and smaller 20mm manufacturing process (for more GHz), but the 64-bit lunacy forced their hand and that sensible plan had to ditched.
