Why would sony be in there? People from gsmarena only love sony, i dont mean that son doesnt build nice phones but they are overrated. People that are voting high for sony's models look only at pictures and numbers. Sony has beautiful devices and the specs are good but the phones are slippery, they are made of glass which gets too much fingerprints and it loses beauty and after 2-3 months the phones are slow and laggy. So sony builds good phone but people that had one immediately changes them. (samsung sux too and the only reason they are up there is because they produce low, mid and high-end)

Bob, 20 Apr 2015I'm surprised they haven't declined for longer... smartphones have been very samey for a while... morewell actually, that's how it goes. They already run out of ideas for design and innovation. so what do these companies do? they just improve the specs.. sad truth..

For android users, yes, they don't buy it every year.
For iphone users, they are irrational group, apple fan, gosh.

There is no point of buying a phone every year - a decent one should last for atleast 3 years without issues.

The China decline isn't very seasonal, the reason is more likely that Chinese buyers are tired of cheap useless Ad-droid phones, one have to admit they are quite useless. The explosive growth of iOS in China is also an indication that people are fed up with the garbage OS.

I'm surprised they haven't declined for longer... smartphones have been very samey for a while now, no real innovations other than slightly faster/thinner/bigger etc.
