My 520 is stuck on flight mode and recovery tool did not fix it. It is now retired and ending it's days as a sat-nav running copilot. I'm done with Windows phones and an unsupported OS but the future is bright -the future is Android.

Search by entering your product code
Download all the required files (mainly .ffu file) and "MPRG8x26_fh.ede" , "RM1010_fh.edp" file [right-down-corner of that page]
Then use "WPinternals 1.2" tool to flash
- unlock bootloader (if needed)
[carefully provide all required files, else the process will not initiate]
