I try the new version of windows phone recovery tool 2.1.1 and for me this work..I had the same problem with the phone does not respond to any commands and see that eventually I managed to revive . growth and success !!!

don't work really.., lumia 520 says error: unable to find bootable option. press any key to shut down. when i tried to conncect to windows phone recovery tool 2.0, it displayed phone info failed.. please tell me any other options to recover.

hello friends ,
even i bricked my phone i.e lumia 520 during updating it to windows 10 preview . what should u do is take another lumia 520 (which is in normal condition) and connect it to the windows phone recovery tool 2.1.0 and let it detect and after downloading the package remove the lumia 520 {which is in normal condition} and connect the bricked 520 and then click install , the package will get installed , this worked for me so good , hope it works with you all guys , thank you :) and all the best :)

karthi, 21 Apr 2015There is nothing to do with the windows 10 TP as it was installed in our phones smoothly, so d... morei have recovered my phone through recovery tool twice before upgrading to 10 TP and it worked, and now when i am trying to revoer to 8.1 with same recovery tool it failed, it just shows red screen with nokia word.
suggest to recover or to bring back the phone to normal mode.

no use of new version of windows recovery tools.....problem is same as past....

There is nothing to do with the windows 10 TP as it was installed in our phones smoothly, so dont blame it.. The recovery tool is the culprit.. People who used the tool without even installing the TP also got this problem by just recovering their phone using the software. Microsoft only told us to install the TP at our own risk, they havent ever told not to use the recovery tool. So they should find a fix for all our bricked phones or should replace or repair it for free. We should only blame Microsoft for ending up our phones like this.
Also 52X-series are not the only phones that got bricked, some 620 n 920 also got the same issue..

If you install the preview an brick ypur phone the answer is no. microsoft dont forced you to installet. In fact there is a lots of warnings just before you install anything. So you install TP under your own risk.
