all that these manufacturers know is specs,
when will the day come when design will be the prime aspect.
what a joke, it was obvious in previous photos too.
Anonymous, 20 Apr 2015The demand for gimmicks has never been higher it seems.to be honest though, the current design slab of mobile phone plateaued a few years ago, so gimmicks are almost the only thing that can be added to these phones at this point, the next iteration of the phone will no doubt be the flexible or wrap around screens which both Lg and samsung are working on and have initially released working prototypes if im not mistaken, now for the internals to become flexible.....
Anonymous, 20 Apr 2015Agreed. That's a trick Samsung should have figured out for the edge models as well. The scree... moreheheheh

Iunian, 20 Apr 2015Even though I don't know the language I completely agree with everything this guy says.

But... more1. its 360p not 240p
2. The video has been taken from a Chinese site http://www.igao7.com And posted by a Italian guy on youtube. ( See the name of the up loader)
3. Oppo or the Chinese guy from igao7 (in the video) have nothing to do with the Italian guy who uploaded the video and made it low res.
4. Read and pay attention before you post your useless nonsense c**p.

But... moreIndeed!
I just watched it maximized on a 40" 2160p display, now that makes 240p look really horrible!!! Each video-pixel is 9x9 pixels on my screen....
For this trick to work well, it would have needed a display with higher pixel-density towards the edges, exactly matching the optics of the curved screen...
MediaTek MT6795 - DDR3 and 28nm fab. Why?
Even though I don't know the language I completely agree with everything this guy says.
But what's wrong with the video quality? 240p? Is that a joke? If it is then this is the best joke I have ever heard.
Some people tend to believe that making a video in 240p in 2015 where you explain how the Oppo R7 is having an almost bezel-less display it's still fine. No that's not fine. You explain about bezel-less tech but don't even have the money for a decent camera ... even a 50 dollars camera will probably do better.
Now Oppo lead the way on this new innovation. Previously it was the N series with the camera design. Just nice at 5.5" n hopefully the spec is also great. Looking forward for the launch.
Very smart trick. Looks awesome!
Great, I wonder how much will it take to break :)
