I love Apple great innovative device , I happen to have an iPhone its a great device to me but in my opinion its not the best , no device can really be the best , every device appeals to someone in someway or another , like I said I love my iPhone but I love my HTC hero its also an amazing device , so I respect all devices guys stop knocking peoples choices ok its not right if you're an applefanboy or Nokia fanboy just respect everyone's decision bye

Haha. It's funny how iPhone haters can't spell and say irrelevant things while iPhone users actually make sense.
BTW the iPhone is less expensive than an N97, and the N97 jas a resistive touchscreen, a CPU that's half as powerful, a horribly bad OS, bad UI and bad design. So no, the iPhone is not expensive.

Convenient integration o... morewhat a silly comment. it has no best music player, it can't play all audio formats. its web browser has no flash, it can't multitask. it's not the touch screen that is responsive but the OS interaction code and palm pre web OS and the latest HTC phones are responsive as same.

Nevertheless, allow me to remind you there are...(sh??p) out there who thinks a "phone" must have the best "cam", (as for some reason they can't even afford to carry a compact / Prosumer DC), all these and that, but wouldn't mind the phone HANGS every 5~15 mins...or once a day.
My wife uses iphone, my manager (who is a very trendy person and no phone last more than 6 months before) uses iphone...both for over a year right now, and they can't be happier with any other phone out there.
I only miss the front cam as I used to video call my wife afterwork everyday. Bet such function eventually will be available and that will be the time to "upgrade".
I wonder why Symbian users hardly ever share how often their phones hangs/auto restart...

There's been a lot of major changes from the 1st to the 3rd gen iphone. But of course you do not, or refuse, to see those changes because all you feel is hatred and bitterness.
I pity you. Learn to accept facts and move on. Support and be loyal to whatever device you like. No need to get out of your way expressing your bitterness :)

Apple made a big profit out of the iphone, but at the same time, it's also stated that the iphone sold 7.4 million units, so we're not just talking cash here, but actual units sold that no other smartphone in its category can match.

There are several things that make the iPhone so desirable to most people around the world:
*The Apple brand, its design and unexplainable mystique over people (it's "cool" and "exclusive" to have an iPhone);
*It´s cool to have Apple products in general;
*It´s a good experience using them, their interface is quite better than most things out there (I have an Ipod classic);
*It's expensive (the perception of having an expensive product may take you socially higher);
*I don´t remember another other brand copied so faithfully as Apple. Take a look at these chinese perfect-looking iPhones, Nanos and Shuffles. This took the industry of "similar products" to another level. And people really want to believe that their "Dual chip iPhone" is an iPhone.
*Uninformation about most of its intentional (maybe?)limitations

In fact, when people notice that they can´t send their photos over MMS (and I doubt most people update their phones in iTunes) or record simple videos, they start to realize the phone isn't so much as it was meant or promised to be. Then they get mad at it, but swallow their pride and seek resort on the facts I pointed above. But still the brand lives on their hearts, and subsequentially a new iPhone version is released, with "all" those features the last version did not have. And of course, missing new features that already exist on other phones which will be unlocked or added on newer versions, to be sold under the same prices we all know. Btw, I have a Nokia 5800 and don´t intend to trade it for an iPhone, mostly because I think Nokia is much more reliable hardware-wise. The phone isn't only the interface, you know. I just needs to work too.

iPhone is the best?i can say YES,it is for the time being,it's more responsive than any touchscreen phones out there,more user friendly interface compared to others who's been in mobile business longer than apple,and most of all App.store is great,much better than any 3rd party apps.for other Os.which is crappy compared to App.store.
I don't have any plan to change my 3Gs to any handset in near future,not until the next apple's phone is released,i'll look forward to it.
