I fear that if Here is going to be sold it will also be the end of this incredible efficient (if not the best of) navigation software. Should Apple buy it I also rear that it will be the end of offline navigation as it is against Apples vision...
Lets hope that Here will remain "the best" navigation service I have ever used.

If NOKIA is planning to get back in the smartphone market, why is it selling its HERE maps service?

The only plausible explanation is that it has a much better mapping service devised already.

I used the HERE app before and wasn't impressed. Google Maps is still the best but (Apple) Maps and Bing Maps are not really behind. HERE is much slower and less detailed than all three.

No No No.. Not apple! they are the worst company at present to be in existence! if here is taken over by Apple, it will be End of HERE for 70% of smartphones (Android devices).... + they could restrict it to be used in lumias as well! so who the hell is even left to use here maps? a few dumb iOs users? the greedy apple will ruin the best offline navigation overnight

Microsoft has integrated Nokia maps combined with Bing maps in windows 10. If any company like google or apple buys they will not release it for wp so Microsoft is in very dangerous position.
Nokia don't sell it or at least to these above 2 real greedy for dollars companies.

Apple should buy Yahoo right now! They need a search provider to remain in the competition!
