I've been telling this for ages. Everybody hated Jobs, but he actually had a certain vision, the man was a technologist.
Ever since his death the designers within Apple won out so they're offering fashion items that happen to be technological in nature. It's telling that bootiques are offering the product. It's also telling that the company literally took off with Job's death, fashion has more money than niche products (like a lot of high end electronics are).
