MI is creating fan following all over the world. I'm sure that one day these 5 year old company going to take on the likes of Apple & Samsung.

Is the battery user replaceable and is there an SD slot?.
SD 615 major feature is the ARMv8 instruction set and not 64-bit support. They come hand in hand but it is the ARMv8 bit that increases performance in a compatible OS. I doubt that even with this feature that it will be quicker than the krait cores but it should help.
The speed of the eMC flash plays a huge part in the overall performance anyway but most sites don't report on this aspect which is very disappointing.
Looks like Xiaomi will skip Malaysia market for Mi4i, instead there are launching obsolete Mi4 3G which will be taken out of India market, while our neighbour Singapore will have Mi4i, but is Ok since their competitor Asus is launching Zenfone 2, Hugo Bara & Lei Jun can kiss good bye to Malaysia lucrative market.
Battery capacity is really exemplary for such a light phone. I'd rather give up some slimmness than 500mAh.
The obvious advantage of this phone will be its battery endurance since it's paired with a SD615 cpu. If price follows, this can be a good midranger, but it doesn't worth more than 200/220$ imo.
The Snapdragon 615 runs octa-core A53s, not A15s. The A15 is not 64-bit capable
