You all need to chill the fudge out. The S6 is a great phone and the G4 will probably be great too. You're all going into this way too much with the whole thing and nitpicking at stupid figures and numbers that really don't reflect how a phone feels and handles. I love both of these brands equally and as an owner of an S6 I can truly say it is a beast of a phone (I had a Note 3 prior to this) and it was a hard choice between the 2 for me (the deciding factor was my panel in my Note leaking after a drop prompting me to upgrade early and the S6 was readily available whereas the G4 was not). They'll both run pretty much damn near everything available on Android (except Qualcomm specific games for the S6) and run it well and as a user of the S6 I've encountered no problems as of yet. The metal gets a little hot when it is plugged into the fast charger and you're playing a graphically demanding game but that is it. No one cares about your niche opinions or operation and if that's a deciding factor for you then Bam! you've got your solution but don't slag another device or brand off if you have no real reason to. You're all a bit pathetic. I'm not a massive Apple fan but if that is what someone prefers then good on them and good luck. These companies know what they are doing and what to do far better than ANY of you supposed 'experts' and I'm happy that there is this this much choice currently on the market. There's no point in saying that this phone is better than that phone because the GPU runs 1 degree Celsius lower after half an hour of playing Dungeon Hunter V or some crap. It is not worth mentioning and the average user won't care. Buy the one you prefer.

there was nothing wrong with the g3. you just had to know how to use the device.
Some of the G3 were bad as in the hardware.
But my own flies.
Saying i get over 44000 in antutu 5 does make it great
but my battery last me a day and a half.
Yes the 7420 chip is a boss, but wait until released so the various tech reviewer can get in dept fell of the software hardware and daily use before jumping the gun.
Although some of them will always be biased and say apple is great and all apple have really is a good ecosystem and a great camera its not necessarily SMART.

The specs of the 808 dictate its performance and the specs are not impressive. Now I'm not saying it is garbage but it is inferior to the 810 which is inferior to the Exynos 7420. Why is this objective observation troubling you so much? The G3 screen was washed out and the phone had subpar performace and battery life, the Gflex 2 failed to create waves, so what makes you think the G4 will be any different? Also LG still hasn't stepped up in terms of build materials. Their UI has been historically rated to be an inferior copy of touchwhiz. This is what LG has been upto now. It will be great if they manage to bring out a cracker of a phone and they ought to since they are last to the market with a flagship but people having doubts about their products is fairly warranted.

its funny how people react on the specs, have you tried it? and maybe you guys are not the target market of LG. Maybe their target are people who loves nice camera and screen and does not play that much or does need to be in the net for 24/7. It would work out on that person. If your a gamer or what so ever that needs high specs to perform what your demanding, then dont buy it.

Where's the logic in making comments on snapdragon 808? Is samsung worried that LG G4 is going to be a brilliant phone. And that LG has managed to carve a unique design for its smartphone line up, rather than blatantly copy Apple. I'm a Sony fan, but I don't get the logic why ppl are bashing the G4. It seems quite good to me

What is it that with every LG G4 article that's being placed here, all the fans of Samsung come rush in to tell how crap it must be. Really, it must be a horrible phone, not even worth the space on GSMArena's newsfeed.
Somehow, claims that Samsungs latest amoled and camera module are unsurpassed and will remain that way fir eternity. I guess they are truly fearing that the new IPS screen will be better, that G4 makes more lovely photo's.
All the build quality seemingly is crap. Fun fact is that Samsungs Galaxy S6 Edge scored worse of all in the bend-test that became so popular with Apple's iPhone 6 Plus. The screen shatters first of the Edge, making the owner look at a 200+ dollar repair bill.
Then there is that bold claim that SD808 won't be up to the task. Reality may well be that the SD808 turns out to be the most balanced new high end smartphone SoC out there. The Cortex-A57 tends to be a hothead, even on Samsungs 14nm finfet process. 4 of them can't keep up the highest clocks for more than a few minutes at best. With just 2 of those high end cores, they might be capable of running at high speed much longer. Then there is the GPU part. Adreno 418 no matter what, is faster than Adreno 330 and about the same level as Adreno 420. More benchmarks (especially long term ones) will be needed to see final scores, but fact is that Samsungs latest and greatest SoC has a GPU that on the long term usage can't even outperform Adreno 420. It throttles so bad, that you would be better off with Adreno 420. It may well be that due to that, SD808 will give a better graphical performance/experience than what's in the Galaxy S6. You won't see that of course in the 30-second benchmarks, but real life performance is so much more important for normal users.
In all, I guess that those pushing the greatness of the Galaxy S6 (Edge) are afraid for very good reasons. LG may well launch once again a better product.
