Plenty of other companies have their own software installed on Google Android phones. This isn't Apple we're talking about. Nokia could easily go the Samsung route and let you choose on first launch what map program you wish to use. Not only is this NOT against the TOS for Google Play frameworks; even if it were, I doubt Google would retaliate given that Nokia is a European company and the EU is now looking hard into antitrust allegations for Google bundling their own apps.

Very rare to see 200+ opinions for a news now a days!. This happens only with the news on Nokia!!!!! No doubt, there is a huge fan base for Nokia! And Nokia will become the top mobile manufacturer in a few years in my opinion!!

And the time of the iphone 4 and S1 they had a Dual core meego. Back in that time frame they had the 808 too.
So it's not like they were not getting the idea.
But they let it all go.
And Samsung was not as kind with Symbian updates like they have gotten with Android updates now.

If you think it's because it's Android and that supposedly Android is bad then you are a blind wp fan.
And have no reason to like Nokia because Android is the closes thing to Nokia's very own Symbian.
And nobody said they were going to stop making WP Lumias.

Nokia has made a lot of mistakes to plan its future.Nokia-this name is still marketable.Nokia fans believe that it is a trust-worthy brand in mobiles, from symbian to wp.If Nokia again raises understanding customers' wishes, it has still chance to dominate market.

SonyEricsson's Xperia phones used the Navigon suite.
You don't even need to use any of Googles software with an Android phone.
They can make it a Nokia only as well.

If they had gone with Android then some of their properties like Here Maps would have lost a lot of worth since Google would not allow them to put it on. Unless of course Nokia forked Android the way Amazon does. And we all saw his well that has worked out so far. It would take a lot of work on Nokia's side to create and maintain their own App Store, etc.
