Won't be the same. Superb craftsmanship (i.e. indestructible body) is what Nokia was best known for, and no way a Chinese company can engineer that. No doubt they'll make it a cheap no-frills brand to compete with other bottom tier companies like Oppo, Xolo and Xiaomi

I guess instead of android they should adopt meego or ubuntu . That would provide them lots of option to furthur recapitulate on better innovation in unique manner

Also not sure about moving to China, as the only reason for that is cost related.

As many others, I do dream of a Nokia reborn with designers and engineers free from MS/Elop (damn both) and thus able to do the best phones in the world as they once did... This time though not worried about quantity but quality.

It's therefore sad to hear they'll move R&D to China.

People only left Nokia after Mr Elop the so-called Chairman announce Symbian is Dead, and the Nokia Board gave in to Microsoft just for Investment,Samsungs had no real Challenge with Android and Still No 1,but if Nokia come back with Android,Samsung might lose alot of Consumers because people Already know that Nokia always Produce Top Class Camera phones,Nokia will really be Good with Android as they were the Best with Themes & wallpapers with Symbian, thats Why Windows was not so Good for Nokia,as it wasn"t very good for Customizing how the phone looked with The Tiles

Don't move your R&D to china, all your ideas and technology will leak(will be for sale) across chinese companies and everything will be replicated...

Anonymous, 24 Apr 2015nokia is dedNokia is alive and kicking!!!!! Back in the day, Nokia was king of cell phones. No phone on the market could match it's style and specs.

Looking forward to what comes in 2016!!

Im really dissapointed If they pretend do this. They will be another phone from thousands others using Android OS (18000 to be precise ) and they will compete against Samsung LG Sony Motorola, ZTE, Huawei AND new comers like Xiaomi, Oppo, Elephone and cheapers than Nokia for sure and more powerful. Too sad Nokia don't pretend make their own OS like was MeeGO. Well I'm pretty sure will buy an Nokia gadget again (for 25 years been doing that) but Im not happy having Androind on Nokia Syambian and MeeGO was a good choice in the past.
