Zenfone's got the stupidest naming scheme ever. Everything's so confusing. For example, there are at least 3 different Zenfone 4's: 1 with Gorilla Glass 3, 1 without, and 1 with 4.5-inch screen.

Apple can use that '4', '5', '6' naming scheme because there's only one spec for each model, except for storage capacity.

The 4, 5 and 6 is the first generation Zenfones. So to make things simple they just use one name for each new generation. The future Zenfone 3 would be the third generation of Zenfones. But then again I have no idea how they're going to name the fourth generation of Zenfone. Hey I just realize you got a good point there. Wth. Lol. xD

AnonD-355928, 29 Apr 2015What?! Asus is using the burning Snapdragon CPU? Dude, they have been using Intel for so long,... moreActually Asus has been using Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset for the Padfone. Only the 5 LTE in Zenfone lineup using the Snapdragon 400 the rest using Intel processor. But one thing for sure the Snapdragon version is way too expensive compared to the Intel version.

Asus has no idea naming their phones They had 2enfone 4 ,Zonfere 5, zenfore 6 then wlerdly name the latest as Zen fore 2. For a layman would mistake it for older than the Zenfone a, 5, and 6. Now when they name the upcom'ng as Zehfore 3 whet will they do after that ?

Not a good choice imo, they were going pretty well with intel chips, the performance were pretty good despite being i guess cheaper than these qualcomm SOCs even zenfone 2's SOC (z3580 i guess) would easily kick s615 or its successor's butt. I just don't see any logic with these choices

I knew it. This is such a BS. This has nothing to do with interview and his statement. The real reason for doing this is that they had overcalculated ZF2 cost vs profit or underestimate ZF2 and by saying that now we see Asus true colors. Samsung S6, Lg g4 etc have pumped up the price and now Asus is thinking why the hell did we make a cheap price phone. They stall with production which is a mess because they dont know what to do now when it is in open. Throwing fingerprint sensor and talking about ZF3 they think that hey lets throw some new stuff just to correct this mess maybe people will forget or will go along. Huawei P8 was announced not so long ago and its available on GLOBAL scale in two weeks from now. Asus cant delivere in 5 months. That is just wrong. Even if Asus puts broxton in ZF3 i dont care im not paying 500-800 dollars for Asus shady game. NO WAY. This story is wors tne One Plus. Shady game winner Asus. I have Asus products but good luck with my trust again. Bye Asus
