Might as well p... morei have an ancient 520 which is promised a update to windows 10, although a toned down one, but good for the hardware none the less. I'd like to see google or apple do that for a two year old phone with a modest spec.

atleast microsoft is rectifying its mistakes, unlike google removing access to sd cards and other stuff!

Might as well pack up and give the mobile division back to nokia, so they can make "proper" phones that run on android.

You are one delusional tool for believing in microsoft.

for everyone who rants WP = Fail

1.if BB can survive in the market so long, Windows can survive easily for next 2 decades easily

2.Windows Phone OS lacks a lot = True
Windows Phone OS lacks apps = true
Windows Phone OS is Not Android = true
Windows Phone OS is Not iOS = true

          But, Windows 10
Can run android apps in future [2016]
Can run iOS apps in future [2016]
Every Windows Phone is a Windows desktop when connected to Larger Screen [2015]

so, whiners whine while i along many other happy lumia users wait for a mini-surface phablet soon
or a next gen Lumia 1520 with stylus

I still use iphone 4s and it's really powerful once jailbroken, fully customizable, unleashed ios true potential.

any phone using windows will never able to reach true potential.

I was trying out the Windows phone 10 on a 635. I could not get the latest build to work on the 635. I kind of gave up on Windows phone 10. I gave the two unlocked Windows phone I had left to my Mother and Sister to use overseas. I am mostly an Iphone guy now I can not see myself using an Android phone now other than to test it out. If I really commit to IOS I may just turn on Imessage and leave it on for the foreseeable future.

Of course it's behind development. I don't think it's going to work at all. Surely if Microsoft want a "unified experience" across all its platforms it should be releasing it at the same time.

hmmmm.... Let's see.... Do I want a phone with a battery that swells and explodes? Perhaps, I'd like a phone that bends and flexes and looses the shape. What about a phone that runs up my data usage charges because so many things are running in the background... spying on me (viruses included).
Bah! Never mind. I'll just buy a Microsoft Windows phone and enjoy peace of mind, reliable, userfriendly experience.

my phone, 620, is already more than 2 years, and its still fast, no lag or slow down. have been updated twice and will receive a win 10 in the future, camera is still great, in fact it took better picture in low light than my friends galaxy e5, the only downside is the apps, but its ok, i play a lot of games on my pc. the os is great, if they said that it could run all the apps in ios and android, i'll use wp as long as they sell one. just my experience.

Mark, 01 May 2015Who needs Windows on their phone?I am using Android now for a long time. That's because there is no good mobile solution from MS. They are picking up and moving at the right direction.
                                        Thing might change, who knows.
We cannot discount the fact that people will still prefer common os across different platforms for compatibility and ease of learning.
My company is using Google solution and I am still use MS office at home. When it comes to office apps like powerpoint and excel, MS is still the king. Yes, I don't do ppt from mobile but I need to view ppt or give presentation which can be done using phone.
I do like some of the features from Google like the ability for few people to work on the same doc.
At the end of the day, it is good for users to have a choice. It does not do any good if either MS or Goggle get tank. By then, do you think we can get as much innovation or free apps?
They can charge you for the apps while getting money from the advertising. What choice do you have? Well .... another tech company might arise.
