I have been considering an HTC device (mainly due to Boomsound) but what kind of message can I get from this latest development?
Must I buy the flagship only to get updates?
Choosing lower tier won't get me update?
While I do not need the flagship level hardwares.....
Secondly, Lollipop is supposed to be friendlier to resources than previous Androids.
How can they claim upgrading to Lollipop will yield suboptimal experience?
It is at best an act of negligence, worse a lie.
Who's gonna follow HTC's move next?
No way it aint running Lollipop smoothly. They just want customers to buy newer phones.
Its Same happened to Me buyed One V, After six month Jelly bean came- HTC sorry sir no jelly for your handset
Anonymous, 02 May 2015HTC worst company ever. Exactly like Sony. I'm going for apple or Samsung nextsony has given lollipop to z1compact which is 2 years old.sony is the best.samsung n htc suck-s3neo is stuck,s4mini is stuck.what are u talking about dude??sony promised and has rolled out lollipop for xperia z,man
Welcome to Android. No resale value no support. No updates. I'll stick to iOS thank you. At least 4 years of OS updates.

Wow, the decision made by HTC makes me wonder how Motorola updated the original moto g and moto e. The only reason for not updating the mini 2 is because they realised that the mini 3 will not have any meaningful edge over it just like the m9 flaglship
Same thing they did with the desire 601.
The desire 601 has the same hardware as the one mini, and yet,it stuck on sense 5.5 and android 4.4.2.
If the desire 816 can run lolipop, with only 8gb,so can the one mini, one mini 2,and the desire 601
I thought HTC phones were meant to have some sort of update guarantee, "HTC advantage" or something, unless I misunderstood it ...
If you want to buy "mini" then go for Xperia "compact" phones. They always give the flagship experience and get equal support as flagships!
This is ridiculous and very disappointing news from HTC phone like this is super expensive cost more than 350 pound in UK.
AnonD-247832, 02 May 2015just lazy developers like Samsung, Sony and Huawei. I'm not talking about flagships/top-end devices.I have a Sony Z3 Compact and that has received the update. I considered buying the HTC.Good job I didn't.
it was launched in in india for 35k,with lower midrange specs.
they made hell of a money on each device.i wonder what will be the reaction of fellows who buy this MINI FLAGSHIP
this is way u shouldnt buy a HTC, they give false promises n change them, they even neglect flagships, google edition of HTC one M7 will still get updated to 5.1 while the sense version will not, wat kind of support is this, its like telling buyers please buy the google edition instead of the sense version, lazy a$$ developers, they are burning faster than an angry b!tch
