isn't that the reason why you keep backups? If these pics are so important, then why don't you use dropbox, google drive or Mega to keep backups of all shots.. no need to blame anyone else than yourself for not securing the important files in your phone...

My daughter woke up this morning and everything was gone on her phone. I was told that a factory reset can happen after an update. All her Disney pictures from a lifetime trip. I wished Samsung was there when my daughter cried her eyes out about losing memories like that. I am furious!

I just a update this morning now my phone wont get out of safe mode it keeps resetting and going back in safe mode. Come on samsung im not only a customer im a fan for all samsung products

Updated my phone last night, now it doesn't work at all. Black screen with pulsating Samsung logo, that's it. what do i do? Took battery, sim cards, and memory, waited awhile put back together still nothing.
Hi wonder if anyone can help me. I have the S5 and am on 6.01 marshmallow after Samsung decided to update my phone when in for repair.it took ages getting used to itm. I have now received notification of a new update. I have read lots of info about people recently updating their S5 and having huge problems. I have put off installing this update until i can find out if it is this update that people are having major issues with.can anyone tell me what this update is called? Just got the notification yesterday. Thank you in advance for any help.
just upgraded my s5 and now i cant use i funny will there be a update to fix this and the battery sucks now as well and it freezes all the time......
I am so pissed with this recent upgrade. My charge doesnt last, i go down 70% in 5 hours (and not even in use). Repeated texts. I want samsung to replace my phone, or possibly the dowm payment i paid for the phone. May finally leave samsung after years....
disccopy, 05 Nov 2016I have a Galaxy S5 and after doing the software update about 2 weeks ago my phone has not work... moreI've sworn by Samsung for years, but since having numerous problems with my S5 (having it sent away three times on warranty because the phones speaker and touch screen kept failing or coming away) I got sick of never having a phone, they kept it for a month at one point because they 'didn't have the parts'. The last time they said I would have to send it away (for the previously mentioned problems) I told them not to bother and I bought an iPhone 6s, genuinely haven't had a problem since. Slightly more exspensive than a Samsung android phone, but hey, at least it works!
Last update 5/11/2016 has slowed my s5 down,when will the fix be ready?
I have a Galaxy S5 and after doing the software update about 2 weeks ago my phone has not worked properly. I get an error message about not starting correctly and even having spoken to Verizon support for about a total of 4 hrs. We CAN NOT get it to start up. I called Samsung support last Tues and the tech was useless could offer no assistance Then wanted me to send the phone back. at my expense. It is not quite 2 yrs old and therefor out of warranty. Today when it totally WILL NOT shut down or even after a wipe & reboot will not start up Verizon contacted Samsung to see about my sending the phone back for repair( was told Samsung sends box and shipping label) and they were advised that ONLY phones in warranty are being accepted for repair.prior to your software update it worked fine, How can I attempt to get assistance to get it to work. ERROR MESSAGE I get now & have been getting since the update is START UP FAILED YOUR DEVICE DID NOT START UP SUCCESSFULLY. USE THE VERIZON SOFTWARE REPAIR ASSISTANT ON A COMPUTER TO REPAIR YOUR DEVICE.IN THE UPPER LEFT CORNER IN RED IT SAYS SECURE FAIL: MODEM.Samsung chat support said to try what I advised I already did more than once and then stated: Due to current business conditions, Samsung is temporarily suspending all Out of Warranty repair. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.. So now I have a useless phone and have to buy at an outrageous cost another . Issue is what brand to get.. Really hesitate to get another Samsung product
Since the last update my phones been extremely slow. I've been deleting apps, unnecessary files, everything except a full reset and still it's clunky and irritatingly slow. The screen timeout is set to 15 seconds and yet I'll find it still on two minutes later. The battery is draining in half the time it used to. Trying to do anything on my phone now takes twice as long meaning the screens using even more and if it wasn't for my portable battery pack I would be without a phone half the day while I'm out and about. Sort it out or I'll be switching to Apple.
I've been a big fan of Samsung since the note and have always had them since then however this is totally unacceptable. My contract runs out in a couple of months and if this issue is not sorted FAST I'll be going to another manufacturer for sure.
