I recently be can having problems with my phone shutting down with the screen going black while using ?? now I have a brown stripe across the bottom of my phone not quite clear. I had to close my security screen as I literally had to search in the dark to locate my password to open it up ! this is crazy !! my phone is 2 yrs old what's happening here :(
Camera does not take pics or save them. It eats them. Phone keeps glitching. Slow. Freezes. Shuts off. Gets really hot. And I have to constantly charge. Takes forever to doiwnload. Went to meet my new Grandbaby. Took tons of pictures and they are gone. Sad. Please fix this. So irritating. Over it
Anonymous, 03 Sep 2016After the update. My camera does not work.Mine too and it ate a bunch of my pictures. Overheating, slow and my battery is not lasting. Issues with the SD card. Yikes. I want my photos back! I am ready to shift to IPhone. Too bad. I loved my S5sport
I have to completely turn off my phone in between calls because it will not allow me to make a second call
My phone is completely unusable since the update. It can't connect to the server, I can't email, text, Bluetooth lights up but won't connect, half of my pics are gone, and wifi is nonexistent. In short, I have NO PHONE!!!! I went to the ATT store for help and they said I needed a new phone. I don't have the money to buy a new phone! Samsung, you guys need to test updates before you release them. After reading the comments here I'm going to try a repair place first and see if they can help.
Only since the release of the note7 and the latest update - I HATE the note5! I've loved it since I 1st got it.

Updated my S5 and and all apps on SD card need to be reload, play list all gone, music app doesn't see sd card. Ridiculous & frustrating this is my last Samsung how could they not know about these issues before releasing.... I didn't sing up tobe a bata tester

Kk, 01 Sep 2016I finally did the update to my Galaxy S5 and it ruined my phone. It would no longer charge. ... moreI didnt "choose" the up date, it finally ran on its own and trashed my sd card. This will be the,last Samsung product I'll buy. Just discovered, don't know what else is wrong.
This latest update has killed my love for Samsung. I have the S7 Edge, about 4 months old. I did the update last Tuesday night. The next morning I observed several issues. The phone no longer lasts all day... battery is 60% of what it used to be. The phone does not go into sleep mode after 1 minute like it used to and signal strength in my bedroom and garage are 1-2 bars...used to be 4 solid. I contacted Samsung and after several troubleshooting tactics, the last being a factory reset, the phone still has issues. The Samsung rep told me... "There are always some bugs with updates, I'm sorry." his final recommendation was to send the phone in for repairs. A 4 month old phone that has never touched the ground or water and was working perfectly before the update??? Historically, I could not stand iPhones, but I see why they have such a loyal following. Samsung's latest update and their issues with the Note 7 have placed them at the bottom of the food chain in my eyes. This weekend I am going shopping for the 2nd best phone out there... that is non iPhone. Shame on you Samsung. Your loyal customers deserve better.
Update last night.bad move..now I have to restart the phone after every call.
I don't have time for this,as I'm in sales and this is my primary phone...

Ready to slingshot my phone off the wall. Can't do anything. Running at a snails pace. Might as well not bother using it coz it's getting me so annoyed.
After update for galaxy s5 I keep getting the message to set my default app to selection on screen.
1. Select a Web page to open or click to send a message
gives you a list of browsers or messaging options
2. Select a browser or message option
Message displays telling user they have selected the default app.
Problem: Requires user to select OK each at all times, rather than just once. The system keeps asking eventhough the default app selection option has already been set in a previous time frame.
I did the software update, now I can not get the faceboon app to work and the Web page hardly works. but only on my home wifi. it will work on my data and on any other wifi. but it is not my Internet, cuz all my othe devices work fine. and any one else that comes in to my home can usee it as well. and this is just after the update. help!!
I did the update on my S5 about a week ago. Everything was ok except I've noticed my SD card wasn't there anymore. It's in the phone and it can be read by my computer but the phone won't register it anymore.
Is there anything anyone (Samsung) can suggest I do??
After my S5 update last month, the system frequently crashed and temperature is much higher than usual.
I highly suspect that the current drained by the device is much higher, due to software bugs.
After Samsung Note battery exploded event, I am getting worried that it is becoming a common problem throughout all Samsung products, just that the problem is more severe on Note.
Hopefully the problem can be fixed soon...

That exact same thing happened to my LG G3. It killed the phone, less than 12 mths old at the time. I lost everything as nothing was retrievable and the phone was unable to be repaired. As it was considered a software issue it wasn't covered under warranty. So I thought I'd go to a more popular brand like Samsung....seems the same thing can happen. :-(

My S5 now lags to the point I want to throw it. It gets very hot like the update was too much for it or something. Personalised settings I had are gone with no access to some as they don't even exist as options! Ever heard the expression 'if it aint broke don't fix it'???
