WotThe?! Don't Samsung test these updates?
My S5 now lags to the point I want to throw it. It gets very hot like the update was too much for it or something. Personalised settings I had are gone with no access to some as they don't even exist as options! Ever heard the expression 'if it aint broke don't fix it'???
I updated my Galaxy S5 yesterday and experienced some of the same problems others have reported ... no cellular data - couldn't make/receive calls and texts, couldn't access the web ("check internet connection"), etc. After a little digging I found that the update had removed my APN settings (Access Point Names settings). I use Consumer Cellular, so I was able to go to their site and find how to reset my APN settings for their network. Once I reset the APN settings I was again able to connect to their network. I don't know if this will work for everyone, but as a suggestion check your APN settings.
I finally did the last update to my phone because I was sick of it popping up every time I turned the darn thing on. Now when I connect my phone to my computer to get my pictures, all the files are gone from the device. What the heck is up with that? I can't get my pictures, I lost my visual connect to voice mail and that is just to name a few. How do I get my files back the belong on the device? I want my pictures!
Since I've updated my S5 neo, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth be never worked well.
Some days they are completely unusable, other days wifi works for a while then stop, sometimes Bluetooth works and wifi not.
What the hell!?
I've tried every and any solution but never worked.
I did the new update on 9/7/16 and it has erased most of my pics in my photo album. I am so mad and most of these pics were of my 3 children. Any way of restoring my cell phone to that date and getting my pics back???

Messenger and Facebook won't connect on my Galaxy s5. Were working but now telling me "check internet connection'. I certainly have connection. JUst these apps not working.
Had similar problem in that after the update to Marshmallow 6.01 on my S5 Active couldn't connect via bluetooth to anything. Did the factory reset and that solved the problem with the bluetooth. Still really sucks that I now have to set up my entire phone again. The randomness of this is really interesting though. My wife's S5 (not Active) had no hiccups whatsoever after the update.

I have a Samsung S5, and it was ok before the recent update, now it keeps freezing, and I have to take the battery out to close it and then re-start it. I have been a samsung phone user for years, sorry, I think next time I'm going to do the unthinkable and switch to an iphone
vj, 24 Aug 2016i have Samsung galaxy s5,i have a problem that my phone restart every time and the screen runn... moreWe have the s5 active same issue after an update. Unfortunately, the only thing we could do to "fix" the problem is a factory reset. It completely wiped the phone back to factory settings; but no more problems and we will NOT reinstall that update. To do the factory reset push and hold the power, volume up, and home buttons all at the same time. Hold these buttons until the phone turns off and back on.
Hope this helps!
