I have an AT&T S5 and I'm still disappointed that we haven't even received the marshmallow update yet because from what I heard that they're trying to put in as much bloatware into the updates so that it will make your phone very slow and overheat quickly and will force you to upgrade to the newest phones in their market. The companies have made these updates on purpose to ruin your S5 so that it will make you want to spend money on their newest phones. That's a brilliant idea by them to make more money but at the same time they're not respecting the fact that us Android users still love and want to use the S5 since it's still a powerful phone to use. Your phone companies are the ones to blame too since they're the ones who forced this update into your phone. There's literally no more possible ways to fix the issues on your S5 now guys sorry to say it but now you should know what our companies are doing behind our backs and cheating us of our hard earned money.
Is this the update TO Lollipop that everyone is having problems with or updates to a S5 that ALREADY has Lollipop ?
This sh** update needs sorting out now!!! My phone constantly crashes and I have to restart it at least 10 times a day, it gets red hot, loses battery really quickly, loses signal even with WiFi. Was looking at getting a s7 edge but if this is the problem I'm going to have with every update I'll be looking at a different brand altogether,
Come on Samsung get it fixed.

I may as well get an IPhone instead of an S7.
My S5 (ATT) is constantly prompting me to download an update that is either 206MB or 260MB (don't remember which size). If I turn on WiFi it immediately starts, then I turn off WiFi it stops. Is this the update that everyone is having problems with ?
My galaxy s5 upgraded again last night. It did the same thing last week and I had issues. It told me the sd card wasnt compatable so I rebooted it now it freezes when I turn it on or it just keeps turning itself off again. Not happy with Samsung
After finishing the update, my virtual keyboard got an error which I can't type anymore. Does anyone experience this too?
Samsung, I hate you right now!! You forced my phone to update, now it is moving ridiculously slow, always hot and over heating, I'm beyond frustrated. I took the battery out to reboot the phone and then it wouldn't even turn back on. Tmobile had to help me. I can't get a new phone bc I have a hair line crack in the screen and have to pay for a replacement phone with Jump Insurance. I'm so pissed off!! and no one is fixing this though??
I Updated my phone last night only issue I have is my battery drains faster so I am not very happy I was warned about this and tried to not take the updates but this one was forced that is not right its my property I am pissed off. And my signal is now Poor now please fix this its not right I cannot afford a new phone.
After updating my Samsung Galaxy s5 everything was fine until I tried taking photos with the camera you originally get with the phone. It wouldn't work and said I had to allow permission. So I go into settings click "allow" then it pops up with another box saying I have to turn off overlay in order to allow the permission. And at this stage I'm thinking "Are you kidding me? Another thing I have to do." So I go to turn off overlay in this other setting and you know what? I couldn't even find the actual app in that setting anywhere! So it didn't even have overlay on. I go back to the other setting and it still doesn't work and says the same thing. After mucking around with a bit more, I realize it won't let me change any of the settings on any other apps as well even if I turn off the overlay! I'm so angry! Why can't I manage my apps?! And I never had to do this before either! Grrrr!
Sansung S5 - battery charge used to last 4/5 days, in the last week the charge only lasts less than 24hrs.
This will be my last Samsung - too many updates that that create problems
Tragically, I just had the same experience with my galaxy S5. It updated and then crashed. The screen is totally black except for the blue led notification light. It's the weekend and I can't get another phone until next week. Somebody didn't think this update all the way through...

I'm furious! They started with the previous update, so after losing everything because my phone didn't back up, and a factory reset, here I am with a useless phone! Doesn't help I live 2 hours from a Sprint storem
My Galaxy S5 updated last night and was also REALLY HOT when it got done. After the reboot, the screen doesn't work. I reset the battery and it makes the AT&T sound and the app and return buttons light up but the screen is completely black. Coincidence? May not be according to some of the posts below.

After sprint pushed the marshmallow update it ruined my Samsung S5 At first the battery was getting very hot. Next it went into boot loop and would not stop. I tried to flash as sprint recommend and it still difficult the problem. I had just finished paying it off to months prior. I feel Sprint should be responsible to replace the phones this has happened to
Thank goodness i cannot update my Samsung s5. I tried 5 times last night but kept failing... after reading all of these comments about Lollipop being so bad i am actually really glad it failed and will keep the phone as it is.
