Sansung S5 - battery charge used to last 4/5 days, in the last week the charge only lasts less than 24hrs.
This will be my last Samsung - too many updates that that create problems

Tragically, I just had the same experience with my galaxy S5. It updated and then crashed. The screen is totally black except for the blue led notification light. It's the weekend and I can't get another phone until next week. Somebody didn't think this update all the way through...

My Galaxy S5 updated last night and was also REALLY HOT when it got done. After the reboot, the screen doesn't work. I reset the battery and it makes the AT&T sound and the app and return buttons light up but the screen is completely black. Coincidence? May not be according to some of the posts below.

Updated to the Marshmallow upgrade this morning, 8/12/2016
after updated may phone display scatered
now my phone i cannot used it..
"Samsung" pulses on the screen, noting else is happening.
Tried reboot, tried factory reset, tried remove battery, sim and SD cards and reboot, etc, etc.
NOTHING!
So disappointed.

After sprint pushed the marshmallow update it ruined my Samsung S5 At first the battery was getting very hot. Next it went into boot loop and would not stop. I tried to flash as sprint recommend and it still difficult the problem. I had just finished paying it off to months prior. I feel Sprint should be responsible to replace the phones this has happened to

Thank goodness i cannot update my Samsung s5. I tried 5 times last night but kept failing... after reading all of these comments about Lollipop being so bad i am actually really glad it failed and will keep the phone as it is.

Since the most recent update from AT&T on my Samsung S5 my phone has not been working properly. There has been lots of jumping between screen and difficulty in trying to send a text. The screen keeps jumping to other screens

I used to love my S5. Now, each upgrade gets worse! After this last upgrade my phone has frequently malfunctioned. Sometimes freezing as others cite. I was able to get into WiFi spots like Starbucks or the local library before but after the upgrade cannot get these spots, costing me data. It also grays out my e-mail so I can't pick it up at home. Today it wasn't accepting my pin and left itself unlocked for an hour. If Samsung can't get their act together and produce usable phones and software that doesn't act like malware then it's time to switch to an iPhone. Meanwhile, I won't allow any more upgrades. Just disgusted!

When I buy a product with what I am happy with I don't want forced updates with which I've got to accept. .... Because you got somebody trying to justify there wages in making these up dates it might be good to them but not everybody else.... My S5 was a phone I could manage but it's more like having a IPhone full of restrictions most apps now to work properly I have to pay. ... Samsung are full of.On my next upgrade anybody who reads this may as we'll get a IPhone and tell Samsung where to go...

I used to be able ... moreI have the same problem with my phone after the Marshmallow update as well as my friend. There is a delay in the notification screen appearing along with the flashing. Sometimes there is a flashing and the screen will continue to stay black until I continuously press the home/on button. Over the past day, this seems to be happening more frequently. In addition to this, my entire phone screen will flicker and flash when the brightness is turned completely off. Despite clearing the cache and rebooting, my friend and I have this exact problem.

I used to be able ... moreI've been having this problem ever since I updated to marshmallow when it first came out (like three weeks or so ago), and it's only worsened since. I see that this is a common problem and no methods seem to work, but it definitely happened as soon as the phone got updated. My screen would flicker like crazy on the lowest brightness, whenever I press the home button the screen remains black, but the keys still glow. I have to repeatedly press the power button until the screen is on.

Updated to Marshmallow today and my Galaxy A5 is now locked and won't recognise the pin. I removed the sim card and it keeps on asking for the pin... After many failures it asked for the PUK and now again asks for the pin. I tried 1000times but wont work... I need my phone for my work and after spending 5 hours on nothing Iam thinking of doing 3things: 1. Inform everyone about Samsungs problems. 2. Buy an iphone.
3. Probably go to a layer and see what I can do. I only bought this phone last week and spent 200€ on nothing... NEVER AGAIN

Can't believe the repair downloads not available. Phone burns through battery so fast. Too many other problems to mention. Starting to make Apple look good...
